My friend Jon Ainsworth (Semi Valley PD, retired to So. Oregon), sent this... awesome Jon, thanks!(BTW, #3 was my fav. Scary!!!):
We all remember Tom Cruise in the Movie " TOP GUN" when he makes a low pass near the control tower and causes an officer to spill coffee down his shirt. Well here are short clips on the top 10 low pass flybys ever filmed..and of
course for nostalgia, let's see that Top Gun low pass again...

Pay particular attention to the last shown low pass. It is number one. Watch the halo of water around the plane. It happened during a Blue Angels event over San Francisco several years ago. It was the pilot's last show with the team and he had nothing to lose. Many of the boats in the bay lost windows to the sonic blast. It's a kick to watch.

Here is another great recipe for SB Sunday. This from my friend Tammy (Mr. Big Stuff's momma .... aka Sideways...)
Jalapeno Popper Dip
Prep time: 10 min |Cook time: 30 min | | <><> >Yield: About 8 to 10 servings |
Ingredients
4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 jalapeno peppers, ribs and seeds removed, chopped
1 (7 ounce) can green chilies, undrained
2 (8 ounce) blocks of Philadelphia cream cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons of butter, melted
1/2 cup of dry bread or panko bread crumbs
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
1. Cut the bacon with kitchen shears into a hot skillet and cook until crisp. Set aside a tablespoon of the cooked bacon for garnish if desired. Add the chopped jalapeno to the same skillet and cook until softened. Stir in the undrained chilies, warm through; remove from the heat and set aside.
2. Cube the cream cheese and place it in a pie plate or 9 x 9 inch baking dish. Microwave on low/defrost for 2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until softened. Stir in the mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese; mix well. Smooth out the top.
3. Spread the sauteed pepper and bacon pepper mixture evenly as a layer on top of the cream cheese mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes, or until bubbly.
4. Combine the bread crumbs with the melted butter and sprinkle all over the top of the dip. Return to the oven for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Sprinkle top with the reserved crumbled bacon, if desired. Keep this on a hot plate if you can.
5. Serve with toast points, tortilla chips, Triscuit crackers, or your favorite dipper.
Variation: Substitute Baconnaise

(This "Baconnaise" is made by the same people who I got the bacon salt from. Haven't tried it yet, but will soon. Sounds devine! www.jdfoods.net/ )
Yesterday was "shopping" day... first off to Costco. It was a gorgeous clean sunny day in Medford. You can see the snow-topped Mt. McLaughlin in the distance....
Treasures includes Ocean Mist artichokes, grown in California, and avocados, Hass grown in Chile! I also got a huge bag of corn tortillas to make taquitos with for tomorrow, game day~ Then back to Rays for other essentials and to Dr. Ron's vet office, hi Joan Laura & Joyce!, for Magg's meds. Back home to crash in my chair after unloading the truck. Whew.
A special friend is having a big 6-0 birthday..... HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE KIRK~! (LASD Lakewood, Avalon....and MCJ or CJ or HOJJ or ???)
You missed the Snicker's cupcake on Wednesday at the LE/Fire lunch ...... Darn. But, I know you and JoAnn are having a high time and fun celebration. Will Depot Bay ever be the same!

I am off to the shower, so comments are fast. Great video of the low flying jets! Popper dip sounds great, will have to try that one. Also, I did not comment on yesterday's blog. That carrot cake recipe is the exact same one I make. It is so good, moist, etc. Need to make that. Sorry this is quick. Want to get this day started and over with. LOL xoxo Jeannie
