Epiphany ~ Jelly Bean's Birthday ~ Bean Day (!! Jellybeans are beans)

Good 31º everything iced over morning!

Yesterday was "pick up put away" day. Then Maggs and I went into town for her nail clipping. The vet told me she had a lump on her shoulder that has changed in consistency. It's now hard and should be removed. We will do that on the 16th.

One of those clear evening sunsets yesterday....

We had a fire. I chatted with Kristen. She said, again it was 90º down there. John Berokoff, high school pal, lives south of Temecula and he's had 100º temps. So Cal didn't get Winter. Don't really think we have either. It's been cold but no rain and no snow. Not good. Snow is desperately needed on the mountains. But, you know we'll probably get hit HARD with Winter when BFF & Bill, Bob & Candy, and Dave and PJ are ready to head south to CA & AZ for a few months! The passes will be horrid. It's Murphy's Law!

Today is Epiphany, the 12th day after Christmas, celebrates the visit of the three kings or wise men to the Christ Child, signifying the extension of salvation to the Gentiles.

A VERY special birthday is today... my granddaughter Alex.. she is 16...
Here with her Uncle Brian...(we were on a family houseboat vacation)

And with me... she called me Gaga (LOL) at the time...then it became Bobo!

The following.... with her mom, purple tennis shoes, backpacking to school, with Papa, with Bobo, , preschool on Santa's lap, with her brother Jack first day of school, and today. A beautiful young woman. I ♥ you so much Jelly Bean!

♥♥♥♥

Historically this date.....
1912New Mexico is admitted as the 47th U.S. state.

And births this date include....
1912Danny Thomas, American actor (d. 1991)

1913 – Loretta Young, American actress (d. 2000)

1926 – Mickey Hargitay, Hungarian-born American actor and bodybuilder (d. 2006)

1931Capucine, French actress (d. 1990)
On 17 March 1990, Capucine jumped from her eighth-floor apartment in Lausanne Switzerland, where she had lived for 28 years, having reportedly suffered from illness and depression for some time. Sad.... she was such a beauty and a good actress!

1960 – Howie Long, American football player and analyst

Ok, all I know. Nuff said. Happy Friday. Ciao.
xo Sue-Mom-Bobo (so glad it didn't stay "Gaga" !!)
January 6th.
National Bean Day
 (Giggle)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bean
Celebrate this day by eating beans. After all... Beans, beans, they're good for the heart...." (Billy, make some more bean soup!)
There are other ways to celebrate Bean Day:
1. Newlyweds can add a few beans to their bean jar today.
2.Gardeners can enjoy this day surfing through seed catalogs to select beans to grow in the spring.
3. Read the story "Jack and the Beanstalk" to your pre-schooler.
4. Teachers can use bean seeds for learning exercises in course material.
5. Others, can bone up on the history of beans....doesn't that sound like fun!?

@ Jeannie.... thanks. And yes, Bill's bean soup is AWESOME!

@ T, thank you. Yes, proud grandma/Bobo, and I'd even go for Gaga, since she was trying to hard to say "Grandma". LOL
