Good 46º cloudy morning....
Yesterday was really warm and beautiful. We hit 78º. I went to RR shopping. Looking for a cake for Sunday. The bakery we had in town has closed up again and a re-opening won't be until the 21st. Drat. So, came home and made some calls. Most said they are 2 weeks out, due to graduation parties and weddings. I found the bakery at Albertson's, in Grants Pass, was going to be open even on Sunday so I can pick up the cake then. Nice gal and will fix the cake just as I want. Came home and cleaned the porch furniture. A job! Today Dean will be here with his tractor and brush-hog the pastures for me. It's an 8 hour job! Pictures tomorrow.
Harley was enjoying the sun in my bathroom window yesterday....
Then it was, "Why are you bothering me with that camera?"
"Ok, so I'll leave." "Thank you."

One of Rachael Ray's recipes.....
I'm saving the recipe to make this after the diet is over. I LOVE couscous and this just sounds awesome and good. You can add or subtract any of the items you don't like or like better. I'd add red bell pepper and leave out the fennel seeds and cinnamon. Just me.
GREEN OLIVE CHICKEN and COUSCOUS
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO)
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 zucchini or summer squash, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 teaspoons grated peel and juice of 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
Pinch ground cinnamon
Salt and pepper
1 cup green olives, chopped
One 32-ounce container (4 cups) chicken broth
One 10-ounce box instant couscous
1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley leaves, chopped
1/4 cup mint leaves, finely chopped
Directions:In a skillet with a tight-fitting lid, heat the EVOO, 2 turns of the pan, over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until lightly browned, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the onion, zucchini, garlic, lemon peel, crushed red pepper, fennel seeds and cinnamon; season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the olives and cook for 3 minutes more. Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Stir in the couscous, cover the pan, turn off the heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and add the parsley, mint and lemon juice; toss.

Now here is an interesting look at the 2010 census. Open the page full size and you can take your cursor, place it on a body of water, and then you can move the map side to side, or top to bottom. As you run your cursor over the various counties it will give you the stats...increases and decreases of race.
Last night it was clear (taken at 9:pm) ....
..... and we could see the moon!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Wednesday.

A very GOOD 59 degrees back at you.
Ah- Frank Lloyd Wright. A very flawed character who left his mark of genius so long after he passed.
If you ever get a chance to try the Sinatra Family Wines- the Cabernet is life-changingly good. Best Cabernet I can remember.
