Blue Bird Babies ~ Real Deals ~ Hector & Lucy ~ Circle J

Good 36º sunny morning!

While I was out taking the above picture I heard the peeping coming from the blue bird's box. I had seen 'dad' making regular bug drops in there so I had a feeling the babies had hatched. Sure enough! So the next series of pictures, sorry taken through the glass door and screen, is dad arriving with a worm, mom leaving, and dad taking worm into feed babies.....

Yesterday was fun. I met up with Jeannie, Donna, Connie, Candy, and Dee. We met at Real Deals, a shop only open 2 days a week, down off Agness on Gladiola (Behind the Bear Hotel) in Grants Pass. (There is one in Medford also)

While standing in the parking lot we saw Hector (former LAPD and the one who started our LE/Fire lunches at the Elks) and his dog Lucy. They came over and chatted. He said about 3 years ago it was published and in the news about this dog found wrapped in barbed wire. Hector adopted her. She is sweet but very afraid of strangers. Thank you Hector for caring about her, loving her, and giving her a great home!

Anyway, in the store we went...

Then to The Dollar Store where I found decorations for our Fiesta Party on Sunday. Dee and I were left, as everyone else had prior commitments, so she and I headed to Circle J for lunch.

As you can see the interior is eclectic. At the bottom of the beer sign it says "Beer is magic". LOL. I had a pizza that had a super thin crust, creamy garlic sauce, salmon, and drizzled with cilantro pesto. AWESOME! Dee had a mushroom burger that looked fabulous.... and sweet potato fries! Wow. Good stuff. Will go back.

In the rest room they leave chalk and everyone writes on the walls. (Dee said anything rude crude or unrefined is taken off immediately)

I wrote the 'God Bless our Military'.  Stopped at Brian's office and he did me a favor, I will tell you about on Monday. Then to Magic Man for a look see at their costume stuff.
Came home and had a few leftover pieces of pizza for dinner.

Bike to work? Not taking a bike on the stairs. Which is my whole commute.

You make me ADORE where you live.

Best to the birdies.

Ya know, in So Cal as well as a few other places I can think of (Portland, Phoenix) it's not safe or practical to ride a bike to work. Especially in So Cal where most work commutes are many many miles.

Sure with you and the DD girls could come up and we can shop and eat and shop and eat. xo

Sue,
I love the quaint little fun places where you all go to shop and eat! Wish we could all come up too! You got some good shots of your birds. So cute!

So RR, Jr. and Cher share a birthday! Libs, both!

XO Trisha

Well, happily James Stewart and surely Carlos Hathcock, and Cindy McCain and my friend Lisa were/are all conservative! There is no accounting for Hollyweirdos. :0)
