~ Dooms Day ~ Broccoli & Egg ~ Mac & Cheese ~

Good 49º cloudy morning.

What a day yesterday was. I discovered the weather guys said it was to rain last night and then today and tomorrow. So, I wanted to get the spraying done. No pressure in the spray rig. Dave had just worked on it and he said it was good to go. Drat. On top of not being able to get it to work, it had a flat tire! So I had to fine the air thingy and get it down to the tractor shed and fill  the tire. Hope it's still up today! Then I put on the sprayer backpack to hand spray. It wouldn't hold pressure and then the hose broke loose. SH*T!!!!!!! So frustrating being a girl and not being able to fix these things. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.  The spray went down the back of my pants so had to come in and put the pants in the washing machine and wash off my leg. Sigh.....
So, I planted a tomato, some Swiss Chard, and potted some lemon balm. Seems like a wasted day.

Breakfast was interesting. I had some al denté cooked broccoli so I drizzled in olive oil, put it in a pan, added grape tomatoes, cooked crumbled bacon (buy it in a bag at Costco..so easy to use in recipes), and some grated cheese, and then poached an egg and set it on top.

I filled the hummer feeders and nyjer seed feeders. When I was outside I saw this young deer walk over to the barn and lay down in the shade. She looks like her mom probably had a new baby or babies and kicked her away to fend for herself. You can hardly see her in the first picture... but, she was watching me!

How cute is that!!!

It clouded up in the afternoon...

Maggie and I went down to get the mail.. Mr. Lizard was sunning himself atop a post...

At 9pm it was raining. Not enough to measure.

Okay girlie, everyday when I read your blog you make me hungry.. You have the most interesting recipes.. One thing I know is that you are big into vegetables, (me too) and you love the tomatoes... So, I can see why you would want to plant a tomato plant. I know how you feel about not being able to fix things. It is so frustrating when things break and you don't know how to fix them, or what is even wrong. I wish I had a speed dial for a handyman. I always think when I call the yellow pages or penny saver that I am going to be taken advantage of. It seems like you have some wonderful friends who are more than willing to help you out, that is so nice.

Have a good day.

If the world ends today- the bills are paid.

Going to make "your" breakfast with spinach instead of broccoli.

Sue,

In January when they started doing all the work on our house John took down the flag. Well,it was before that because of the high winds we were having. I remind him all the time but as yet he hasn't taken the time to put it back up!
The other night when Judy and Judi arrived to play bunco the first thing they said when I opened the door was "WHERE'S YOU FLAG"? They almost missed my house because there was no flag! Well, he PROMISED it would be this weekend sooooo we shall see!
