Rain & Hail ~ Dizzy Blonde ~ Adelle ~ Pecan Cake & Pie

Good 38º morning. The predicted rain yesterday manifested itself in a couple of ways. First as I left for my doc appointment it was just misty. Got some winds. Then it rained on and off... then hail. Then sun. Then rain. Then hail. Then sun..... all day. Weird.

The day yesterday was spent running from pillar to post. I had a yearly (ick) doc appointment at 9am. Been having dizziness (a dizzy blonde, ohhhh nooooo!) and doc thinks it could be inner ear, since I have tinnitus.    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinnitus   He's put me on a diuretic to see if the fluid in the inner ear dissipates. And, he's setting up an appointment with an ENT (Ear Nose Throat) doc. I got a pneumonia shot and he has me signed up for a shingles shot. If you had chicken pox you are susceptible to shingles. I had chicken pox horrible! And my mom had shingles once, in her right arm. Best to be safe then sorry. Doc said when the shots became available he and his wife were first in line.

I stopped at the Rogue Creamery in Central Point on the way home...

It was built in 1935. They make such wonderful Blue Cheese! Really, all their cheese is wonderful! I picked up some cheese curds (jalapeño, pesto, and garlic), my favorite pasta Anellini, some sharp cheddar bread, fresh gnocchi, and olive oil infused with lemon (OHHHHH sooooo good!).

Looked like this on at 1pm

This was for a follow up mammo. Something seen in the first one, so took a second.

We did the pharmacy stop and grocery stop on the way home. Stopped and chatted with Dave and PJ, came home and made a fire. It got so windy, but never did rain even with the threatening clouds moving in. Patty said at the coast they got 1½" of rain. Always amazes me, you'd think the whole coastline would just slide into the ocean!

I am so sorry, my cute friend Adelle
(and her cute hubby, Tom) had a birthday yesterday and I did
not put it on my blog.... but we did chat on the phone and I sang Happy Birthday to her (yikes, and I can't carry a tune!) She's a friend from our days at Wilson High.

Sue,
I really enjoyed seeing the photo of your parents. I have decided that I see your face in hers. I think that's where you and Brian get those pretty eyes.
It touches my heart to hear you and others say how much they miss their parents and for the reason you know.
My dad passed away in 1991 also and was probably around 90. Can't remember now. Sadly he spent all his life (from about 22 yrs old) in the VA hospital. So since I had only one parent, really, it's hard for me right now.

Love seeing all your goodies that you bought. Now let's see what concoctions you make with all that.

Hugs, Trisha

Yes, I understand what you are going through, Trish. My Mother died from Alzheimers. So sad to end your life with no memory. xoxoxo

Pecan cinnamone rolls sound really goooood.

We're headlong into spring right now.

Julie Christie is amazing looking, even now. As were both your parents at their 50th. You got some GOOD genes to put your jeans on):-

Thanks L!!! How sweet of you. My parents were beautiful people. A dark haired swarthy looking Southern young man and a pretty strawberry blonde ...couldn't resist each other! xo
