Mowing ~ Geese and Turkeys ~ Mac & Cheese w/ Pesto

Good 38º soon to be rainy morning.

Yesterday I got busy... steam cleaned the kitchen and back porch floors. They always feel so great after I do that. Then did laundry. The back door rug needed it badly, so now all nice and fluffy clean again. Made more Easter earrings. The I mowed. And mowed. And mowed! Ran out of gas....

There it is, way down there. The gas can was so heavy I put it on the hand truck and walked it down there. Then on the way back I held onto the hand truck and drove back to the carport.
It got cold and very windy. I quit after I filled the tank. Smelling like gasoline... not my favorite smell... Came in, cleaned up, and poured a glass of wine. Ahhhhh....

The geese are making their visits out front now...

Dinner was an experiment...

I started with cooking some wild rice. Then added the elbows the last few minutes. When done added the sauce that came in the box with the elbows. Then added pesto. Also, drained mushrooms, cooked peas, diced up left over pork sirloin chop... and more cheese and some evaporated milk and pulled the meat off a chicken leg and added that. OH MY. What a concoction. It was GOOD! Pesto in mac and cheese is the way to go....

Never thought of adding some pesto to basic mac and cheese, Aunt Sue. I’ll have to try that soon! I have both in my pantry!
Happy Hump Day

Peach cobbler day in April? Someone wants us to empty the pantry or this is a decision made on a lower hemisphere. In any case, it sounds GOOOD.

Dinner was an experiment only in the defrosted hamburger turned out to be a pair of boneless chicken breasts):-

Thomas Jefferson is one of my favorite historical figures. The daring architectural adventurer who popularized the dining room, kept journals on everything, was a grower and gastronomer ( I may have made that word up).

Sue,
Your concoctions always amaze me! Looks yummy as always!
Strange because last night my guys all watched the movie Apollo 13. Didn't know today was the anniversary of that happening.
You were a busy bee yesterday! Doesn't it feel good to get so much done?

I cracked up at the Japanese girls video. That's one for TV! Funny!!

Doesn't Lyle Waggoner STILL look good! That doesn't happen often as these Hollyweird types age. Handsome!

Have a good one!
