Good 30º morning. Clouds sitting right down on top of us. Pressure going up. We may get sun.
Yesterday I went to Medford, met up with Ruth, and we proceeded to the library
(It wasn't a snow day, but the only picture I could find)
in her new little red Ford Focus, that she is so enjoying.
I was impressed with this new library. All the bells and whistles. We met up with Felicity and Sheila and we totaled up the volunteer hours our JCRW members had turned in. These people will be recognized at a later date and the club with 25000 + volunteer hours will get a national award.
Then Ruth and I headed to the Dollar Tree
for wrapping paper and bags for favors and prizes to be given at our 1 + 1 Luncheon in two weeks. Then to Veranda Park
where the luncheon will be held. We talked to the dining room manager and finalized the menu and seating...
This is a lovely retirement living location on the hill above Medford.
I left and headed for Costco. OMG, each lane in the parking lot had 4 to 5 cars waiting for parking spaces. I came home! On the way the sky looked threatening...
..... and here on the left it was pouring down rain, but none on the roadway
and coming into Rogue River you can see our mill's chimney is working full throtle....
Hopefully today I can get to Costco, early!

Your rain is here. Would you like us to sent it back?):-
Journalism and police science majors ought to be forced to sit through history lessons on what went wrong in the McMartin Preschool case.
There are wrongs that can't be righted. That was one. The only good which can come from it is the lesson within.
No thamks re the rain. We've had enough. The ground is mushy! xo
Sue,
We have had enough too. Many toppled trees, mud slides and much damage. Wish we could get a little bit at a time year round but this IS So Cal and desert.
Congrats on your club's volunteer hours. We have that down here also but we have never totalled nor submitted our hours because as Edda and I have said "They would never believe us"! So we just don't bother to do it.
Love the looks of the place for your luncheon. Do you not have them at the same place every time?
Wish my mother would move into a place like that!
Your pics were beautiful! Good luck at Costco this time! :)
Hugs, Trisha
This is the second year for the 1+1 Luncheon. It's to bring in new members. Each member pays $10 and their guest is free (paid for by our club) and we have a nice program and prizes and will award the volunteers.I'm sure your mom would love a place like this. Lots of people around to chat with, lovely meals, library, and all the amenities. xo
I am amongst the living again! I have gone 1 hour without coughing!!!
What a beautiful room for a luncheon! T and G
