~ Tick! ~ Meatloaf ~ Chocolate Covered Raisins ~

Good 37º morning.

Yesterday started out cold and stayed that way. Winds got sort of wild. I remembered to empty the rain gauge... since my car is clean I knew the rains would come! It looked like it by 5pm....

But, they haven't yet! Hmmmm....
Maybe today.

Looks like all the radar is in No. Cal.

I was running around like a crazed person cleaning the house and working on projects most of the day. Tim and PatC stopped by early yesterday morning to take a look at my gate and see what the problem was. They will be back here at about 8:30 this morning so Tim can fix the hinge.

I took a break and was sitting here at my computer when I felt something hurting on my inner thigh. Weird. I rubbed it through my jeans. Still hurt. So I took down my pants and there was a TICK! OH GROSS! It was a teeny teeny tiny one... like the little one here...

but dang it was burrowing in and it HURT~! I pulled him out, examined him in the sink, and flushed him down the toilet! Put some triple antibiotic on the spot. WHERE in the HEQQ did he come from? AND why in my pants????

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Dinner was meatloaf. I used hamburger, grated in some corned beef, mozzarella cheese, 2 eggs, Citrus Sea Salt, Sonoma pepper, chicken gravy, mayonnaise, garlic bread crumbs, onion, sliced garlic, and pepper infused olive oil. I put a mixture of catsup and sweet hot chili sauce on top.

OMG, it was sooooo tender and good! Meatloaf
sandwich today!

Meatloaf, my choice for a last meal!
Funny, you highlighted Harry Houdini, paper said his last assistant passed away yest. At age of 103.
Choc covered raisins at Costco are the best. My grandson in Atl said he didn't like them when I bought a canister. Next thing he is eating handfuls. I said "I thought you didn't like them". He said " these are goooood chocolate covered raisins".
Rained all day and huge storm last night. Windy and wet again this a.m.

Sue,
Sitting here trying to figute why in the heck Steve McQueen campaigned for Johnson then voted for Nixon! Doesn't mke sense to me. I will go back and read about him.
If the rains start just stay home and keep your truck in it's shed so it doesn't get rained on. That's what I do if I can work it that way.
Ahhhh yes. Meat loaf. One of John's favorites. My mother, aunt, John, my boys have always loved my killer meatloaf. I use saltines instead of bread crumbs. I have never had a meatloaf sandwich but it's a must try when I make it again. Maybe it's because I want leftovers for the next night's dinner. :)

Hugs and have a good dry day!

One of Steve McQueen's motorcycles is up for auction. I want to buy it for Gary. He was a collector of Vintage Bikes.
Ali McGraw's book seemed like a Marriage made in hell. Lots of drugs and drinking on both parts. T and G

Your meat loaf sounds GOOD. When the butcher was offering hamburger with bacon ground in- I have some here to barbecue. They guys behind the counter said they are GOOD, And if the butcher says they are good, they are gonna be GREAT.

Hmmmm ground beef with ground bacon? Yes, I bet that would make good burgers or meatloaf or meatballs! xo
