~ SNOW Again .. LOTS! ~ Hummingbird ~ Latte Day ~

Good 31º snowing morning. Yep, more snow, but on the ground here. Started last night. Pretty. Peaceful. Quiet.

Yesterday the gauge showed 3" of rain.
And the clouds were clinging to the mountain ...

This morning....

And this little baby hummingbird was sitting on the
feeder... he was shaking! He didn't seem to mind
Maggie and I were on the porch either.....

Yesterday PatT went with me and we put mailing labels on flyers at the Republican HQ. 500 in an hour. Then to the post office to mail them. Our group has a permit so we take them to the 'bulk mailing' desk. What a cluster going on there! The lady helping us was nice but the guy helping the others sounded like he didn't have a clue what he was talking about. Confused the heqq out of the folks talking in circles. A gal with a clipboard was standing in the corner observing all this. Hmmmmm....

Being married to Charlie Sheen had to take
a big toll on this poor gal. Doesn't look like Sheen's TV show
is going to make it. He commented that he'd rather be
high than go to rehab. Loser.

1974 – Jerry O'Connell, American actor

Ok, here's my foodie contribution for today...
Gravy Pork Chops with Stuffing Biscuits

1
tablespoon butter or margarine
4
bone-in pork loin chops, about 1/2 inch thick (about 1 3/4 lb)
1
jar (12 oz) home-style pork gravy
1
medium stalk celery, thinly sliced (1/2 cup)
1/4
cup chopped onion (1 small)
1
cup Original Bisquick® mix
1/2
teaspoon dried sage leaves
1/3
cup milk

Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add pork chops; cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until browned. Place pork chops in baking dish. Pour gravy over top.
In same skillet, cook celery and onion over medium-high heat 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender; remove from heat.
In small bowl, stir Bisquick mix, sage and milk until blended. Stir in celery and onion mixture. Drop large spoonful of dough onto each pork chop.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and pork chops are no longer pink in center.

Not much else going on. Happy Thursday. Ciao.

Wow, what a difference in the pictures of your mountain! One day a lovely look and the next day Currier and Ives! I have been so impressed with your pictures, I went out early this morning to take a few pictures of my mountain, the Cajon Pass! (Picture won't paste here, so I'll e it to you.) I always forget we are just 29 miles from Victorville. Yesterday we were visited by a representative from Bankers Life and Casualty Co to explore MediCare with us. When I brought out my CalPERS Blue Cross info, she knew she wasn't going to sell me anything, so we (with Dick joining us) kicked up a very nice visit. Wow, I'm old, she was so professional, polished, educated and was born in 1966! My Julie was born in 1969. I need to send Julie's birthday stuff off to her today. I ran out of ink while I was making a 100 copies of everything. When we were in Costco last week, I picked up their brochure about refilling HP inks for $7.99. I called and was assured, yep and it would be ready in an hour. We headed down to Costco, figuring we would drop of the ink container, then drive to JCP in Redlands to pick up three items I ordered (no delivery charge with in store pick up). Costco had lost all their power and was closed. Employees were outside running around like chickens with no heads telling drivers arriving the store was closed. Wow, if terrorists really want to effect this country, just lose its power for a week or so. At my first job, I worked the cash register like an old time adding machine. No electric dependence there! Today I'll call Costco to see if they are up and running. If so, we will repeat what we tried yesterday. I am putting the blonde back in my hair, and it's time for running it through the ends, more later, Sarah signing off ...

Sue,

What a certified IDIOT Charlie Sheen is!! He has the BEST comedy show on TV which ranks right up there with the Lucy shows for being well written and FUNNY! I didn't hear him say that but if he screws this up I will be soooo angry! Some losers don't know when they have it made and fart around until it's all gione! Damn him anyway!! You know, they could probably substitute another actor in his place but his supporting cast is perfect! Can't see replacing any of them. Oh well, we have our endless reruns!

WOW what a winter wonderland at your house this morning! Beautiful! We had ice on the roof tops this morning and snow on our mtns with the clouds hovering over and around. I went out and took pics and posted on FB.

Zerorez carpet cleaner is here and both double doors are wide open and I am in sweats with a jacket and freeeeezing in here!!

Love the sound and looks of that pork chop recipe! Will add it to my collection. Tks!

Hugs, Trisha

We just had the world's tinies earthquake. So small Edda didn't feel it. Just me and the puppies. So guess no trees will be down between here and Gerry's work):-
