~ Skies ~ Crab ~ Elk ~ Tortilla Chips ~

Good 32º morning. No storm as predicted. No snow yet.
It was supposed to start at 4pm yesterday and storm
hard until 4am. Come on..................
Great skies... took thse Tuesday evening at 5pm

and then yesterday afternoon at 2pm

and then again at 3pm... just a drizzle was coming down
on the mountain....

So, went to Medford yesterday for my Excel class.
Now to practice. There is so much to Excel, it's amazing.
On the way home I got corn snow!

Came home and stacked wood on the porch and then
unloaded a bag of cracked corn, a bag of Nyjer seed,
and a bag of wild birdseed. Back killer. Sat with a glass
of wine and recovered.

Then I tackled the crab .... It was clean, as Patty had
scrubbed it~!  So I cracked it and cut it and (tasting as I went!)
got all the meat out. Of course Harley was as close as he
could get, and did get some tastes...

Then I sauteéd broccoli and grape tomatoes in my infused
garlic/onion olive oil... salt and pepper and then topped with
a grated cheese blend....

I melted butter and added fresh lemon juice and poured
that over the crab. It was HEAVEN!!!!! THANK YOU PATTY
AND CLIFF!!!!!!!  xooxoxoxxoooxox

A snuggy fire, glass of wine, chair (Brian always called a recliner
a "chair of death" because you can never stay awake!), comforter,
cat in lap, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh..................... nice. Watched some TV.
The world is getting crazier by the moment. And that
Lindsay Lohan thing is a circus. Poor folks who have to deal with
all that. Good to be so far removed.

Brian and Jen and the troops said they are feeling better. Yeah.
All I know. Will be making birthday cards today and working on
my Excel stuff.......

Don't have to plan dinner, I have crab and chicken soup in the
fridge.  Looks like all around me it has snowed...

.... and in Klamath Falls.... ICK

The sky in top images looks like a giant silk scarf. Lovely.

Barry Bostwick's acting reminds me of Colin Firth's. Brilliantly understated and elegant- even when naughty.

Your storm should reach us tomorrow. snow possible in upper foothill locations. So outside with me to do a bit of gardening...

Hi Sue,

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog, along with all those yummy recipes! I thank you. I made the mac and cheese, Yummo!!! Now I am going to try your chicken with the asparagus and radishes. I never ever thought of cooking radishes. I really look forward to your menus! I asked Bill if he thought there was any way I could kidnap you, and have you for our own personal chef. He laughed. Your crab sure looked good too!

Off to do my chores. Wanted to say hi and thanks. You are so creative and fun!!!

Hugs and kisses,

Jeannie

Sue,
I enjoy your blog. It is so cold where you are. I don't think I could stand it. But beauty is all around you so I can see why you enjoy it. Say hi to Brian. He was always such a nice boy and a joy to have around. Boy, looking at that crab and the veggies makes me wish I could have a taste.

Sue,
Oh what a sight to wake up to! Your photos are breathtaking! The elk are so beautiful. Love all your wild critters that come a callin!
Oh I couldn't contain my watering mouth as I looked at the pics of your dinner! My Debbie would have been in hog heaven as crab legs are her all time favorite. It all looks so healthy and yummy!
Thanks to Jeannie she reminded me that I didn't print out the Mac and Cheese recipe. Gotta do that! Now if I can just find which day you posted it!
Glad you are enjoying learning about Excel.

Have a good day!
