~ Rain! ~ Olga ~ Chuckles ~ One Pot Rice Dish Rice Cooker ~ Gumdrop Martini ~

Good 39º pouring rain morning.
Since yesterday, and inch and three-quarters!
I actually cooked breakfast yesterday for breakfast!
Two eggs in my poacher, topped with some of that Fisherman's Wharf seasoning and sea salt, laid in a bed of baby spinach and tomatoes and topped with Parmesan cheese.....
Lots of protein and soooooo good!
Mostly stayed in all day. Raining on and off.
Chatted with Brian, Kristen, and Jerry's mom. She was having a good time at her niece's in Hesperia celebrating her 88th birthday.
Dinner was a one pot-one dish meal.
Into the rice cooker I put a couple cups of rice medley (brown rice, wild rice, red rice, sweet brown rice) and a half cup of brown rice. Then about 3 cups of chicken stock, can of sliced mushrooms, broccoli, partially cooked mini carrots, garlic cloves that had been partially cooked til soft, and about 1 cup of crumbled bacon...
Pretty darned good! Think I'll have some for breakfast!

I don't know about gumdrop martinis. Is that something men who don't want to grow up drink? Or that very old men serve their very young girlfriend with? ):-

I adore Jane Seymore. When I gave an autographed copy of her design book to Shannon, I found out she's a client at Shannon's salon.

Your rain cloud has stretched here. Quite a reach.

Love your food shots—do you have Fiestaware? I have a set of 8 all different colors. Love it!

Oh Sue! You must be the healthiest gal in town! All your meals are so healthy looking and love the photos.
Right now I am eating a bowl of my Mexican rice with fresh cooked pintos on top with lots of bean juice and some hot salsa on top of it all and tort chips. My Mexican cleaning lady laughed at me cause I am more Mexican that she is evidently! LOL
For lunch it will be my weight losing cabbage soup! Well, if I'm hungry for lunch cause this beans and rice and chips dish is really filling.

mmmmmmmm gumdrop martini! Never had one but sure sounds yummy! Enjoy!!

Darn the martini looks good, but two prescriptions I filled now say, "no alchol." Doc increased pain medication for the neuroma because I can't have foot surgery until after heart stress test. We have been told several storms from Alaska are coming our way and must have hit you first. It is clouding up now because we receive the first rains a few hours after L.A. does. As always, you meals look good. I love spinach, but Dick doesn't eat it, so if I have some, I eat it for a couple days. At least I have dropped five pounds. I've been cutting back and no goodies! After several tries, I have perfected Hot Cross Bun recipe and am eagerly awaiting Easter, well, Good Friday. I did a search online for any URLs I may have set up and found one for Scentsational Wedding Flowers. I'll go back and get its info. I want to start my business again and will now do business under that name instead of A Party by Sarah 4 U. I just won't accept weddings in July and August!
Well, I am making pork chops in tomatoes, onions and jalapenos tonight. Sarah signing off ...-+
