~ 14* !! ~ Ain't No Thang But A Chicken Wang! ~

Good 14º morning. YIKES. All three hummer feeders frozen. Brought them in and thawed them for the little guys. It was 24º last night about 8pm when I was talking to Linda in Woodland. She said it was cold there, but not THAT cold. Burrrrr....

By 10:15 yesterday the snow had pretty much melted.

I worked on making birthday/anniversary cards and fought with my printer ALL DAY!! Dang that machine. I guess I'm just going to have to bite the old proverbial bullet and take it to the repair shop and find out what is wrong. It starts printing and half way through, stops. Grrrrr....... So it's the un plug, re plug routine until it finally starts working again. It's not that old, 3 years maybe....

Mr/Mrs (?) Robin was back again...

And my little hummer, not the baby, the guy who "owns" the hummer feeders, was back and buzzing my head while I was taking pictures....

  HAPPY BIRTHDAY DESIE!

Yesterday, just when I was contemplating what to fix for dinner with some leftover chicken and Quinoa, the phone rang. It was Patty and Cliff inviting Maggie and I up for cocktails and dinner! Whhooooooo hooooooo. I had a dirty martini and we chatted. Dinner was
'Wangs', ranch dressing, and coleslaw from The Colonel! Mmmmmm!

We came home 3 hours later, and by then it was time to bring in the brass monkey! Snuggy fire, down comforter, cat on lap, chatted on the phone, and watched some TV then snoooooozzzz time!

Tonight I will be going to the Jackson County Central Committee's Lincoln Day Dinner. My favorite Congressman Greg Walden will be a speaker. Should be fun. Pictures to follow. Remember, at the Ronald Reagan BBQ last September I got to "arrest" Greg and we put him in the hoosegow and folks had to bid on his bail.

All I know. Nuff said. Ciao.
Happy Saturday everyone!

Chicken "wangs" and brass monkeys?
What's in the water over at your place?
Or is it too many dirty martoonies?
A friend send me a tv clip of Kirstie Allie's maid cleaning with vodka.
Kirstie Allie is a lunatic and that's a waste of perfectly good vodka.
Wave the vermouth over the glass, spear a coupla green olives and call it good.

My advice is a new printer! They're pretty cheap - wouldn't think repair would be that cost effective...unless, of course, the repair guy "Will Work for Booze."

We're off to Laurel Hills Golf Course - Tim & my grandson are playing golf at 11am I'm sticking around for the "free" food!

Have an awesome day.

If your sister, the maid Marion had married officer Marion- She would not only been Marion Marion- she would have been your MUCH older sister.

Story I wrote on Shannon is up. Under someone else's byline. Yikes. Wrote the editor- miracles of modern technology- mistakes are much easier to correct than in hard technology.

Oh yes. I knew that. :o)
Someone else's byline?????
Best get that fixed immediately!!!

Love your e-mails....really enjoy all the pictures you send, know it takes time to put that all together and you do an amazing job!!! Dinner looked and sounded like fun, what is this about the brass monkey?? We had our monthly potluck dinner last night, not too well attended, bad storm coming yesterday and lots of folks do not want to go out...tons of good food, even brought some of mine home, had made two casserole dishes and left one in the kitchen there as thought not enough people there to put both out - smart thinking. They snow down to 1,000' today/tonite - I guess we will wait and see if it does happen. Karl at Stephanie's house for several weeks, has not been able to ride his Harley yet - bad weather seems to have followed him. Have fun at your gathering today/tonite....stay warm if at all possible - I will try and do the same. The renters brought some stuff just b4 I left for the potluck, will bring more between storm I guess...Nancy

Sue,
Do ask Congressman Greg if he knows my favorite Congressman, Gary Miller. Greg looks like a very nice man just like our Gary.
Love the birthday girl, Desie, kissing Goofy. My Kevin was in that costume for years. The cutest pic we have is of dad, Goofy and me standing together. teehee Entitled "Our Son".
Yesterday in the rain John told me to look out my window from where I was sitting here at the computer. He has tall barrels standing there full of water. The lids have a dip in them and get full of water. There were three adorable birds in the lid taking a bath. So cute! I told John I wish I had a camera like Sue's so I could get an amazing pic of that. I then slowly reached for my camera and that slight movement scared them away.
First thing this morning I read The Patch article about Lydia's soon to be daughter in law. A good one but I would be bummed that it was under someone elses by line! Hope they pay her for the piece anyway!

We will go out to dinner tonight with long time friends, the Elfelts, and catch up! She has been president of our local school board several times. Our high school football field was named in her honor "Elfelt Field". She says it embarrasses her. :)

Have fun today!
Hugs, Trisha
