Ice ~ Football ~ Soup

Good 28º morning. Burrrr......   Everything is frozen out there...

I shook the hummer feeders to make sure they were still liquid. Close to being frozen!

Yesterday was just a "stay at home" day and I had a number of phone calls, one of which I never got to finish... will call Candy back today!

Brian and Tucker came by. They were on their way for some bowling in Medford..

They were ready for the game later.
Speaking of which, two awesome games yesterday...
The Saints vs the Seahawks... Saints losing 36-41. What a game!!
Sadly for Brian and Tucker's Colts, they lost 16-17 (!!) to Kristen's Jets. Now the Jets will play my Patriots next Sunday in Foxborough.

The shooting of the Congresswoman and federal judge and that little 9 year old girl in Tucson yesterday certainly stunned all of us. As one of the newscasters said, "Sane people don't do things like this. He's a wakko." So sad for the families. I hope Congresswoman Giffords makes a full recovery. Docs said it would be long and difficult.

So, the sun miraculously came out about 1pm ...

(see.... shadows!)

and at 3:30 we still had sky....

by 5pm there was still blue up there....

 ....
and there were still tiny patches of snow on the mountain...

Quiet evening... soup and a snuggy fire....

Historically this date...
A whole bunch of stuff happened, but too boring to list..

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday.

Sue,

I caught some of the game as the Seahawks beat the Colts. That one run was one for the books. That guy dodged six attempts to bring him down. Nothing short of amazing!

Your place looks like pics from a calendar but then I always tell you that. lol
Your guys looked darling in the tee shirts.

Soooo many folks are fellow Capricorns! yaaaa

I have also done my part of soup making. I think John is now tired of soup for dinner! Men!
Have a nice warm and snuggie day!
XO Trisha

You can get electric blankets specifically for dogs. The electrical cords are protected. I had one on the bed when I had dogs in the barn.

Good morning, great pictures of the blue skies. I am just glad it is not as cold here as you are experiencing. Even though Dick covered his chili plant, during our freezing temperature nights, I think he has lost it. Our heater's brain is dead this morning. so I have unplugged it and will see in a few minutes if it resets. I have been surfing room rates in Vegas. There are some great deals out there now. I am not a gambler, so I am leaning toward a suite upgrade from a normal room rate. Also, almost every hotel now has a "pet stay" rate. We board Junior with is foster mother, but I want to take the little blind guy with us. He amazes me and Dick with all well he gets along now. He is funny to watch him find his food bowl! Well, I need coffee and I believe it has finished brewing. Another at home day for you? I need to go to WalMart to pick up dry dog food. Sarah signing off
