Doe ~ Heat ~ Schwans Meals ~ Biceps ~ Peaches & Cream Dump Cake ~ Take Your Dog To Work Day

Good 51º clear sunny morning.

Happy TGIF. Yesterday the temps rose by early afternoon to 88º and then hit 94º. Today will be hotter.

The little doe was back next to the barn laying in the shade....

I never turned on the AC. House stayed closed up and nice and cool til about 5pm when I finally turned it on.

Breakfast was a Schwans ham/cheese omelette sitting atop ricotta cheese and topped with Parmesan with strawberries and a Stroopwaffle. YUMMMMMM!

I was watching one of my fav shows, Carnival Eats, and Noah was asking this guy if he thought the carnival item was large. The guy said, "you mean like my biceps?" LOL. Boy, he had some big ones! And a very interesting USMC tat!!

Since the other day was Peaches and Cream Day, how about this super easy dump cake....

Ingredients:
21 oz can of peach pie filling
1 white cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1. In bowl, mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Set aside.
2. Pour the pie filling into the bottom of your crock pot and top with cream cheese mixture.
3. Sprinkle dry cake mix over top of cream cheese mix.
4. Pour melted butter evenly over top.
5. Place 6-8 paper towels between the lid and top of your crock pot.
6. Cover and cook for 1-2 hours

Dinner was some of Schwans micro green beans sprayed with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and topped with Parmesan and their chicken fries, which I am addicted to, with Ranch Buffalo (btw, which is AWESOMELY good!) for dipping.

OMGOOOOOOOD!!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Friday. Ciao.

Take Your Dog To Work Day

Today is Take Your Dog to Work Day. And, we've just gotta ask "Why!?"
They say every dog has it's day. Well, that day has arrived. Today, your dog gets to join you at work today. Of course, this assumes that your (wonderful) boss will allow it.
Once he arrives at work, your dog can tag along, following you on all of your work chores. He'll be at your side all day long. He'll frown at those dog eared papers n your desk. He'll end the day happy, but dog-tired.
Now, that' we've had our chuckle, it's time to recognize that this is a serious holiday for "Man's Best Friend". It is sponsored by Pet Sitters International. The objective is to recognize the importance of dogs in our lives as both companions and protectors. The organization also encourages you to help homeless dogs. One way to do so, is to adopt a dog today!
Question for the day: Once your dog has arrived at your work...now what? What do you do with him? Will there be organized activities and a luncheon in his honor!?
Sorry, but equal rights has yet to arrive in the pet world. We have not found a "Take Your Cat to Work Day", or a "Take Your Parakeet to Work Day", or .............

Good morning. Stroopwafels are wonderful- but I've never had for breakfast. They are an In the afternoon with coffee indulgence.

Auschwitz- "Arbeit macht frei"- Work sets you free is the motto on the front of it and other concentration camps, Was this a lie- or a warning to not value labor above humanity?

I bet that dump cake recipe would make a good batter for fritters.
