Clear Sky! ~ Air Crane ~ Woodpecker ~ Vulture ~ Omaha Steaks Order ~ BLT Mac Salad & Buffalo Chicken Mac Salad

Good 35º clear (omgosh, clear!) sunny morning!

YEAH, pay day!!!!

Yesterday a break in the rain...

Erickson Air Crane manufactures helicopters here in Central Point. I have found over the years that they use this area for pilot training... they fly back and forth over my property for usually about 45 minutes...

While I was taking pictures I passed by my telephone pole..... riddled with holes from the woodpeckers...

I noticed a fence post up in my pasture looking sorta different...

A closer look with my long lens shows a turkey vulture!

Later UPS Dave showed up with my Omaha Steaks order. YUMMMM!!! I ordered individual NY cheesecakes, lobster tail halves, crab cakes, marinated salmon fillets, and pub style cod.

OK, let's make a Macaroni Salad... inspired by Mr. Food Test Kitchen's BLT Macaroni ...
His recipe:

1 pound elbow macaroni, 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 t. garlic powder, 1 t. salt,
½ t. black pepper, 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled, 1 cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half, 1½ cups coarsely chopped baby spinach
1. Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and let cool.
2. In large bowl combine mayonnaise, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add macaroni and rest of ingredients, mix well, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

My recipe:
Sue's Buffalo Chicken Macaroni Salad:
Elbow macaroni, fresh baby spinach, olive oil mayonnaise w/ cracked pepper, Lawry's Garlic Salt, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, olives, and shredded chicken in buffalo sauce....

This chicken you can buy at Costco or Amazon. It's super good, and spicy!

When boiling anything, especially pasta, put a wooden spoon across the top of the pot and it will not boil over!

When the macaroni drained and cooled I mixed it in with the other ingredients, also adding in a good amount of Parmesan cheese.

Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and wine. What could be better!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.
