Weather ~ Furniture Respect ~ Zucchini Onion Pie ~ Cheese Doodles

Good 30º morning.

Some rain yesterday, 1/4" here. More in Grants Pass.
We had a "severe weather alert" for yesterday into today and another for today into tomorrow. Got up and there was quite a bit of snow on my mountain...
Happily it didn't come down here!

But, it may still.....

Wow, the weather was nuts all day yesterday... windy, cloudy. Yesterday afternoon I went over to Merlin to visit with Bob and Peggy Lahde. They had been friends with my sister Marion and her husband Bill at Tahoe.  On my way home it was POURING. Of course no lights on any of the roads including I-5, so it was nerve-wracking with the rain so hard, the windshield wipers going at top speed, and still hard to see. I HATE driving at night anyway!

This is interesting.... the Dems think what Kelly Ann did is wrong, although there are photos of Mooochelle doing the same thing in the oval office....

And what about this JackWagon......

What is it? Because a Republican does it now the Dems have respect for the White House furniture??????

Historically this date.........

1836 – Samuel Colt makes the first production-model revolver, the .34-caliber.

1933 – Adolf Hitler's Nazi Party receives 43.9% at the Reichstag elections. This later allows the Nazis to pass the Enabling Act and establish a dictatorship.

1946 – Winston Churchill uses the phrase "Iron Curtain" in his speech at Westminster College, Missouri.

And births this date include....
1927 – Jack Cassidy, American actor (d. 1976)

1936 – Dean Stockwell, American actor

1939 – Samantha Eggar, English actress

1958 – Andy Gibb, English-born Australian singer and teen idol (d. 1988)

1963 – Joel Osteen, American religious figure

Here is a SUPER EASY SUPER GOOD Zucchini Onion Pie recipe:
A great side dish for that already cooked rotisserie chicken!

3 eggs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup oil
1 T. minced fresh parsley
1 garlic clove minced
1/4 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
3 cups sliced zucchini
1 cup biscuit baking mix (like Bisquick or Jiffy)
1 small onion, chopped
In large bowl, whisk the first seven ingredients. Stir in the zucchini, baking mix, and onion. Pour into greased 9", deep dish pie plate. Bake 350º for 25-35 minutes, or until lightly browned. 6 servings.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

March 5th
(I'll take a 5th!)
National Cheese Doodle Day

Are you ready for a great snack and orange fingers? Happy National Cheese Doodle Day!  March 5th is the annual celebration for the cheddar cheese coated, puffed or crunchy, fried or baked snack food.
The actual inventor of Cheese Doodles is under debate.

Generally, the credit goes to a man named Morrie Yohai who made a variety of extruded snack foods in the 1940s for his family’s company called Old London Foods. Other sources show patents for similar products in the 1930s and still other competing accounts in Wisconsin and in New Orleans as well.
However they came to be, they are here. Their crunchy, orange deliciousness is enjoyed around the world! They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and flavors and 15 million pounds are produced annually

Good morning.

That zucchini bread baked as pie looks GOOD.

Sofa's are for getting comfortable on. A foot crossed under a leg ought to be forgiven. Feet on antique historical desk- that is staging for the camera. I prefer such staging be respectful - which feet on desk outweighs the importance of showing a "minority can be top-dog" factor or "ease in the office." If the President wants a footstool- certainly someone could have provided- or found a desk of less historic value.

Cheetos are my downfall! This past year I've been shredding cheese over popped corn as a substitute.

Staging or not, so disrespectful. Of course he is an entitled POS, so he doesn't care. Make the zucchini pie, L and let me know how you like it! Good use for over abundance of zucchini in the summer. xo

I have read and heard that Kellyann would never normally sit that way on the couch. She said she was trying to get a photo of everyone in the room and was trying to stay out of the shot of the professional photographer who was right behind her.

I hate to see anyone with their feet on the furniture in the Oval. Yes, disrespectful but then I don't think BHO had any respect for the trapping of the White House.

Oh things are so different when a Dems does it tho, don cha no! GRRR

My question is who released the photo? Last time for that photographer in my opinion. Especially if it was released without permission. So stupid. But the Dems are going to criticize EVERYTHING

There were several photos of her... leaning out to get photos and staying on the couch so she wouldn't be in the way of the other photographers. Don't know who released this one, probably a Dem!
