Yesterday after cleaning off the front porch I sat with a glass of wine and
enjoyed the view. The clouds were fabulous...
And Mr. Woodpecker was making more holes in the power pole...
Ok, the soup I made was a "clean out the fridge" soup. I used chicken
stock, cut up sweet peppers, cut up carrots, 2 shallots, cut up celery, roasted
garlic seasoning and sea salt, and some dehydrated mixed veggies... All into the
Crock*Pot on high for 6 hours...
Then I added in some noodles and their seasoning...
Then I found two boneless skinless raw chicken breasts in the freezer (from
Omaha Steaks)... thawed them out in the microwave and cut them up and added to
the soup...
Super good. Good for me. And, the fridge drawers are cleaned out!!!!

May 25th
National Wine Day (Like we need an excuse!)
Wine is an important part of human history and culture for thousands of
years. Regardless if you prefer red, white, pinot, or cabernet, everyone can
appreciate today's celebration.
Archaeologists in Speyer Germany discovered the oldest bottle of wine in
existence while excavating two Roman stone sarcophaguses in 1867. The bottle
dates back to at least 325AD! It is now on display at the History Museum of the
Pflaz in Germany. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speyer_wine_bottle
