Dave ~ Bruiser ~ Mac/Chokes/Meatballs ~ Pulled Taffy

Good 45º sparsely cloudy morning. Should have sunshine for the rest of the week...

Yesterday stayed dark, cloudy, gloomy, and cold all day..

Dave didn't get here until about 5pm and did some brush-hogging.... til it got dark....

He has to finish this part of the pasture straight in front and then do the upper pastures on the left... I am assuming he'll be here today....

The Bruiser was out hunting yesterday...
Thankfully he didn't bring home any trophies!

Loved our long phone conversation yesterday afternoon. Fun having a glass of wine and chatting.

Tell me, I am curious. Are artichoke bottoms the artichoke hearts? We always shared one and the boys would fight over the heart.

It was always fun to stand at the taffy shop window in Avalon and watch that machine stretch the taffy. Remember that?

I loved our conversation too T!!! xo Yes, the artichoke bottoms are the whole heart without any leaves attached. They are REALLY good ... so many ways, even use a topping (shrimp, stuffing, etc) and heat them that way. Yes, I do remember the taffy machine in Avalon!!! xoxo

Thank you for the good memories. As a child, any candymaker with a window to their work could keep us mesmerized forever with the tug and pull of sweets to come. Knotts Candy Kitchen and some pier.

Suffed artichoke bottoms are to die-for GOOD.

Have a wonderful day.
