Good 45º somewhat cloudy morning. Yesterday stayed cloudy all day. Sun came
out briefly and we got 12 or 6 drops of rain over a period of 5 minutes.
Breakfast yesterday was another "experiment". I used a microwave omelette
maker to just cook two eggs. In went the eggs, each yolk was poked with a sharp
knife, a tablespoon of water added, salt, and roasted garlic seasoning. They
came out really good! More spread out than cooking them in the poacher....

Yesterday was another day that rang with excitement. Did take Dude for a
run and the trash can out to the road.
Later dinner was reruns.
Friend Sally Harwell (LASD ret and in same Academy class with Jerry and a
former Marine) called me last night. We had a nice chat! Thanks Sally! Her
granddaughter, Sally Jr., got hurt on Saturday on a jumpy house or a
trampoline... can't remember. She fell off and hurt her clavicle. The people
throwing the birthday party called paramedics and she was transported to the
hospital. She was released that afternoon. She's recovering... this taken of
Sally and Sally Jr at the Laughlin reunion...
Hope you feel better soon Sally girl!!! oxox
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

Personally I don't care for a cream sauce and serving scallops on
individual shells. I like searing them and serving them with artichoke hearts.
Here is the recipe Rachael Ray made on her TV show in 2003. It became a favorite
of Jerry's and mine, but I tweaked it slightly.
Instead of 2 T of capers, I used only 1 T, as they make it too salty.
Instead of vermouth we liked lemon juice instead. Also to the olive oil when
searing the scallops add a couple pats of butter. My way is SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!
You can get good scallops at
Costco!
