Here is the painting by Patty's brother Hal... love it. And the wooden deputy Andy Lee (LASD ret) made and sent to me.

I told Mr. Lee he's going to have to make a female deputy now! I want one! I put him on the "Jerry Memorial" ....

And look, Mr. Lee even put a name tag on him!!!
I love it!!!
I also got the popcorn, 18 pkgs,  I ordered from QVC...

I made some and couldn't quit eating it!!!

Farmer Jon is also on FB with pictures of his corn planting...
And lastly I ordered some bug spray from Natural News.
Because of the problems with the Zika virus from mosquitos
This bug spray keeps the bugs away the natural way. It's made with organic Witch Hazel. It moisturizes your skin with a blend of potent insect repelling essential oils. It contains zero artificial fragrance or synthetic chemicals. Product of USA. The chemical exposure in most bug repellents is unhealthy for children and pregnant women.

Later I cooked a pasta/veggie dinner. Will share tomorrow. Phone conversations with pals, wine, chair, TV, and again... a nap!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

You were so adorable as a little girl. Very blonde. Marion looks like she could be your mommy.

Love your little wooden deputy. Looks like Jerry but don't think he was that pudgy. Have you ever told us about those suitcases?

You are right. Hal was an extraordinary talent. How real that rooster looks. Such detail. What a nice gift to you.

Thanks T! I got the date wrong when I first published this, it was 1949 not 1947. Marion was 9 years older than me.

No, Jerry was not pudgy. He was 6'1" and slim ... long legs! But this wooden deputy is cute.

Yes, love looking at the painting. xo

Good morning.

What artistic people you are surrounded with. I need to creat a stained glass insert for a gate leading to the veggie area- so the rooster painting really caught my eye for its color and composition.

Please pass a slice of blueberry pie....

Stained glass work is so interesting. I tried it a couple times, taking classes L. Fun! You are great at it. Yes, roosters are colorful characters! Would be fun to make in glass. Ok, here comes the pie........ xo
