PICTURE OF THE DAY:
Bruiser was out and about. He was way down in the
pasture sitting on this 'farm thing'... don't know what it's called, anyway he
was intent on watching something. Then I opened the door and came out and took
his picture. He lost his concentration and beat it for the house!
Speaking of animals.. this 26 second video is

Wednesday I was in the cooking mood
so.................... Gnocchi, chopped clams, baby spinach, lemon juice, chunky
garlic, olives, broccoli, mushrooms, sweet peppers, celery...
First I put some olive oil and a few pats of
butter in the pan and sauteéd the mushrooms, then in went the celery and
garlic...
Next the broccoli and sweet peppers, lid on part
way and steamed a bit....
Olives and chopped clams were stirred in along
with most of the clam juice (had to share with Bruiser!) and about 1/4 cup lemon
juice...
The cooked Gnocchi was added and the spinach
stirred in...
All of it went into the casserole crock pot and
on warm and added some Ricotta cheese and let it sit until I was ready to
eat....
OMGOOOOOD!!!!!

National Arbor Day
National Arbor Day is the Tree Planter's holiday,
and has been celebrated since 1872. It began in Nebraska, a largely treeless
plain back in the 1800's. It is a day to plant and dedicate a tree to help
nature and the environment. Millions of trees are planted on this
day.
The National Arbor Day Foundation provides
millions of trees for planting. It is estimated that 18 million tress are
planted each year on Arbor Day.
Did
you know? The Latin word for "Tree"
is "Arbor"...sure you
did!!!
