SUPER SPECIAL BIRTHDAY today... our Sami is 8 years old!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRETTY GIRL!!!  Here our girl is in 2008:

2009:

2010:

2014:

2016: (with brother Tucker and Dad Brian...)

Yesterday Mike was going to come over and do some yardwork for me, but the rain started and there is no point working in the rain. We'll see how today goes. Patty wrote from the coast, Gold Beach, and said they got 1¼" by noon yesterday. Wow. We got some drizzle.

This from pal Trish Bowler....
The word Service explained.
I became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies:
1. Internal Revenue "Service"
2. US Postal "Service"
3. Telephone "Service"
4. Cable TV "Service"
5. Civil "Service"
6. State, City, County, & Public "Service"
7. Customer "Service"

This is not what I thought "Service" meant. But, today I overheard 2 farmers talking. One of them said he hired a bull to "Service" a few cows.
BAM!!! It all came into focus.
Now I understand what all those agencies are doing. I hope that YOU are now just as enlightened as I am.

Yesterday we had a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Mallard....
They haven't been here in a long time. Never saw them last year, dry dry dry, and no water in my seasonal creek. They were happy in the creek yesterday~

Historically this date.....
1877 – U.S. presidential election, 1876: Just two days before inauguration, the U.S. Congress declares Rutherford B. Hayes the winner of the election even though Samuel J. Tilden had won the popular vote on November 7, 1876.

1953 – The Academy Awards are first broadcast on television by NBC.

2002 – U.S. invasion of AfghanistanOperation Anaconda begins, (ending on March 19after killing 500 Taliban and al Qaeda fighters, with 11 Western troop fatalities).

And births this date include....
1793 – Sam Houston, American politician, 8th Governor of Tennessee and 7th Governor of Texas (d. 1863)
.... it didn't work out, but I wanted another boy and to name him Sam after Sam Houston because Jerry was born there. As it is, we got our 'Sami'! Ironic on Sam H's birthday!

Thanks GloW for this:

Lordy, the fire department would have to keep a constant vigil on OVamit, Mooochelle, Hill-Liary, & Bill Clintoon!
Speaking of Clintoon, did you see that Monica 'Head Job' Lewinsky went to the Vanity Fair after Oscar party... Hollywood party girl now~!
Oh gag (LOL) me!!!!

After Suzanne Santisteven (LASD ret) posted some deviled eggs on my FB page.. made with avocado I got hungry, so I boiled some eggs...  I mashed a couple yolks with some avocado, a little lemon juice, bacon salt, and mayonnaise...

After posting about what you can make in a waffle iron, I got to thinking, I need to do that again... So dinner was some Grands Corn biscuits, garlic butter, pesto, blue cheese, and Parmesan cheese...

Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray.... Cooked on med/high for 7 minutes (pressing down on the waffle iron)

The eggs. tomato, and the waffle biscuits... OMGOOOOD!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

mmmmm Banana Cream Pie! My favorite!

All I can say is they must be hard up for writers at Vanity Fair to have hired ML! It's hard to believe she is already 42. Times sure does fly by! Looking back Hil liar y wasn't bad looking in those days. Always had a potty mouth tho!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADORABLE SAMI!!

Today would have been my dad's birthday too. I figure he would have been 98.

Glad you liked the "service" joke! LOL

XO Trisha

HAPPY birthday, Sami! Meeting you is on my bucket list):-

It is good Lewinsky's life moved on. Wish our squirrels would move on. They are darling critters, except when they are munching here. Eating grapefruit from our tree- and the bird feeders reminds me that they are really ostentatious rats.

Banana cream pie... mmmm... If you roast the bananas, the flavor is richer. Not that I should think about such things. But I do.

Never roasted bananas. Interesting. xo
