Good 46º cloudy morning. We got 1¼" rain since yesterday. No rain predicted
for today here.. but other places, yes!
HAPPY THROW BACK THURSDAY:
1992 Kristen off training and working patrol, stopped by the house and
Harley climbed up on her radio car...
Yesterday in the pouring rain one goose, the gander, showed up out front. I
braved the downpour and took him some cracked corn, wondering where his 'bride'
was... Suddenly he was gone after chowing down a bit. Then I heard 'honking' and
there they both were. He went to get her, letting her know food was here!
Amazing. I'm sure she's sitting on a nest. Hard to get a good picture through
the fence....
Didn't do a lot yesterday. Caught up on reading emails and FB
posts...
LOL:
This is interesting... outrageous mug shots!!
The above is an LA gang member recently arrested... more here:
I tell ya, I wish Hill-liary's was among them!!!
On FB Donnie Wahlberg posted this photo with the comment "you can't control
what comes along. you can control how you handle it."
I had to laugh... up here in Grants Pass we have Peckerwood Lane
.....
It's on the map, but for some reason Google blocked it out of the
picture!

Later chair, wine, TV.... and chats with 4 gal pals.

Popcorn Lover's Day (It's popcorn tonight!!!)
I like mine a couple different ways... drizzled with butter mixed with a
couple spoonfuls of zested lemon.... or just butter sprinkled over with cheese
(cheddar, Parmesan, mozzarella... any cheese is good!) Sometimes a little Sriracha mixed in the butter is good too! Or.... melt some white chocolate bits in the butter!!! Use garlic salt or bacon salt instead of regular salt.
"Many of us love popcorn. So, it only makes sense that there should be a
special day just for popcorn lovers.
Popcorn is good for you, when eaten plain. It is not as healthy, when it's
loaded with salt and butter.
This day is intended to enjoy popcorn and share it with others. Bring some
to work. Or microwave some and put in in a basket in your office.
You can have it in a traditional way, with salt and butter. Or, you can add
anyone of a number of flavors to it. Some popular flavors are cheddar cheese,
parmesan garlic, and even hot pepper! There is no requirement as what seasoning
to use today, as long as your eat plenty popcorn. Now, that's not hard to do, is
it!?
Origin of Popcorn Lovers Day:
This day was created on January 6, 2012, by Bob Matthews of Rochester, NY.
It is Bob's favorite snack. He and his wife have it on most Thursdays, all year
long. Bob is also an avid gardener. He has grown and dried popcorn for
popping."

Funny, I still remember where I was when I heard they had killed OBL. I had been doing a presentation for an Eagle Scout ceremony for Senator Huff. I was driving home when I heard. Couldn't help but cheer!
Don't you wonder about those gang members? What happened in their lives to make them so hateful and to mess up their faces that way? Mentally ill for sure!
Love popcorn but hate getting it stuck in my teeth.

Most of the gang bangers, T, come from dysfunctional families and they are heavily influenced by the element they hang out with. The gangs most times are the only "family" they have. Of course plenty of drugs and booze don't help!
Keep toothpicks handy when eating popcorn!!! xoxo
Happy Popcorn Day! Homemade caramel corn is 'da bomb'- but it doesn't get baked very often or I wouldn't fit through any of the doors here. Recently, my favorite way is to sprinkle Parmesan and salt over. Gerry likes movie theater style- with only as much popcorn as the butter will hold, plus a semesters worth of salt per serving.
That cartoon is too true.
Blessings!
Thumbs up L !!!
I like to sprinkle Tabasco Sauce on popcorn.
Yes, that's good too!!!
