Fires Update ~ Baby Loves Rain ~ More Waffle Iron Recipes ~ Painted Homes ~ Foot Rubbing Bruiser ~ Sunset ~ Whiskey Sour

Good 52º hazy smokey morning.
Smoke smoke and more smoke. Oregon wildfires update:
First things first.... if you do not want to receive a daily email re the blog, just let me know. I understand a lot of people only read it periodically and a daily email is a pain. You still want a notification? Once a week?
Also, can anyone tell me why so many people post photos on FB with no explanation as to what in the world it is, or what's going on, or who it is. Are we supposed to be mind readers?
Pal Olga shared this on her FB page. So cute! Baby loves the rain! You will giggle....

Yesterday was sort of a 'catch up' day. Vacuuming, mopping, etc. YUCK!
Remember the waffle iron recipes, 23 of them, from yesterday? Here are some more....

Mashed potatoes!
Saw these photos and had to share. There is a youth group in Mexico called German Crew. There were all these homes on a hillside that they painted. Awesome!
This is in Palmitas Mexico, near Mexico City, and the Pachuca District:
Neighborhood before...
Primer coat.....

Yesterday James from All Natural Pest Control came by to renew my contract. He brought along Thad, a trainee. Thad and Dude were enamored with each other! Dude got soooo excited!  Nice guy!

He certainly didn't ever teach his daughter any manners, civility, poise, and to act as a grown up. Of all the performers, I think she's the most disgusting.
1968 – Rachael Ray, American chef and television personality
....if only she could keep her open palms in her pockets instead of waving them all over and in front of her face when she's talking and brushing back her hair! But, I guess it's impossible since she's Italian, but also she NEVER stops talking. Even interrupting special guest (all guests!) Tom Selleck! And she talks over everyone too. UGH. She cooks great, but wish she'd shut up and keep her hands DOWN! Also, she needs to quit saying (in lyrical style) "I know!" She's just plain rude! the Soap Box!

I went out to take pictures and Bruiser was laying in the grass....

Then I went back out to get the sunset. Bruiser came up on the porch and was rubbing on my foot! "Hi mom, take my picture!"

I sent this picture to KOBI 5 News. We'll see if they use it.

Dinner was reruns. Chair, wine, and a movie (that I fell asleep during!)
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

TV Chefs we like- Former Nuclear Budget Analyst Ina Garten, Nigella Lawson (we used to watch her in the UK before she came to US) Michael Chiarello (seasonal California with an Italian twist) and Tyler Florence (dude food).

The painters in that Mexican town sure had fun. The world needs more smiles. Cheerful people are more productive.

Yes, L, those are good chefs! I do like a lot of the things RR cooks, but I record the show and zip through it all until the food prep. I'm sure all the painted homes did make people happier! xo
