Cheddar Broccoli Soup ~ Leg 1 of Trip Smilebox ~ Bruiser ~ Janie Alden

Good 48º clear sunny morning. Will hit or be close to 100º today.
Yesterday I felt LOUSY. Tummy was very unhappy and I was not recovered from my long drive. Kept it low key with eating and then at lunch I thought some Bear Creek creamy cheesy broccoli soup would hit the spot... This is a dry soup mix.

You bring 8 cups water to a boil and whisk in the soup, slow cook for 10 minutes.

AWESOMELY good~!

I sat mostly and worked on my pictures. Here is a Smilebox of my trip leg 1, days 1 & 2.....

National Pink Day

It's National Pink Day, a day where everything should be basking in pink splendor!
It's especially a day for the ladies, as pink is a girl's favorite color. Guys, you can participate in National Pink Day, too. Just get in touch with your feminine side, and display a dash of pink. Note: the girls will love you for it!

It's easy to enjoy and to participate in National Pink Day. Bring your pink elephant out of hiding. Wear pink, and show off everything you have that's pink, from clothing and shoes to other possessions. Be creative. Use food coloring to make pink meals. Pink frosting on a cake or cookies will be a big hit today.

Pink? I can do pink. Hope you are more recovered from long road trip today. I like the Bear Soup mix- other than it is a bit salty for every day.

The soup isn't too salty for me, but you could always add in other items, like cooked carrots, some cut fingerling potatoes (which absorb salt) that have been cooked prior, and of course fresh partially cooked broccoli. xo

Bear Creek Soups are a staple at our house. I usually have about six or seven on hand. In fact I loaded up on them yesterday. I buy them at Big Lots and they are only $3.00 each there. I, too, think they are too salty so thanks for the ideas to absorb some of the salt.

I can do pink too. Such a girlie color.

Enjoyed your Smilebox. What a long tiring trip! No wonder you are still exhausted! Hope by now you are rested and feeling better.

XO Trisha
