Football ~ Dog Text ~ Snack ~ Dave B ~ Taco Night

Good 48º morning. Warmed up to 99.3º yesterday. UGH. Supposed to stay in the high 90ºs through the end of the week.

Last night the Ravens over the Steelers 26-6 ...
Sunday is going to be a super busy football day!

This cracks me up. From the Tally and Spencer Huntoon (ret LACo FD-Wilsonite): If dogs could text.....

A late afternoon snack.... Wild Rice Organic Rice Cake spread with mascarpone cheese, and topped with American cheese. YUMMMMMMMM
The wine came from Grocery Outlet. Very light and fruity. Nice. At $2.99 a bottle, no complaints. I like the "less calories" part!

Neighbor and friend 'Big D', Dave Basden is celebrating his special day today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!!! Thought a little nostalgia would be good... June 2001 ... Jerry Dave and Cliff:

He's an odd one!

Yesterday was filled to the brim with over the top excitement. I checked the ground squirrel traps and there were two more incarcerated. Mike came by to haul them off and reset the traps. Vacuumed and washed the dog drool off the living room window doors!
Dinner was whole wheat tortillas, shredded chicken thighs, lettuce, and some salsa.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.

September 12th.
(DROOLING!)

Chocolate Milkshake Day is an opportunity for chocoholoics to savor. The weather may have cooled off. But, our appetite for chocolate, specifically chocolate milkshakes, hasn't cooled off one iota.
What a great day this will be! Simply combine a little milk with some chocolate ice cream, add some extra chocolate syrup, and mix it well in a blender. That's the fixins for mixin up a big, tall glass of chocolate milkshake.
On a diet? Not today. A lot of people celebrate Chocolate Milkshake Day with not one, but two or more chocolate milkshakes.
Bottoms up!

I probably tell you this every year but who can remember!

My Curves friend's former husband and the father of her children was driving that freight train when it collided with the Metrolink train. He was hospitalized for a long time but recovered. My guess is he's a wealthy man now.
I pray nothing like that happens when my Eric is working the trains.

I recognize Jon H. from our luncheon when you were down here. Hi Jon! It was great meeting you!

XO Trisha

I too pray your Eric will be safe! But you know T, more people are hurt or killed driving cars than trains! The odds are with him on this. Yes, Jon was at the Northwoods with us. Too bad Linda couldn't join us too! xoxo

Hi kiddo. Re: the Chatsworth train tragedy. My friend Mickey lives in La Crescenta DIRECTLY across from that guy's house. She said his relatives would sneak around to the back door when they needed to remove his belongings because they were so ashamed of what he did. You remember? He was texting! Vivia

Yes, that was certainly a tragedy and something I wish people would understand about beind distracted while driving ANYTHING!!! I see them on the road all the time and have a sign I made and hold it up when I can catch their eye... "HANG UP AND DRIVE!" It works, if they see it they give the most sheepish look and put the phone down! YEAH! xo
