Rain ~ The Bruise ~ Koda ~ Jake ~ Happy Dogs and Cat ~ Baby Olivia ~ Empañadas

Good 48º raining morning. Don't know when it started. Haven't gotten much so far... Dude and Bruise weren't that wet after they went out and came back in this morning.

Remember where that tree was Mom? I like digging there!

Yesterday started off pretty beguine and then escalated... Sigh. That lovable dog, Koda, who lives up the road made an appearance again. What a jumpy energetic mutt! He was happy to down all the kibble in Dude's dish on the porch.

I called his dad, but he said he was working and couldn't get him til after 4. His daughter was also working and his sister, who cares for his mom, wouldn't be over there until after 11. I was just going to keep him in the yard, but decided to take him home. Called Sean and told him to tell his mom I was bringing Koda home. "Grandma" was happy to see him, but he didn't want me to go. Anyway, long story short, he's back home with "Grandma". Sean said just to "let him out and he can find his way home". Not. He didn't want to leave here. Besides I just couldn't do that. What if he went down to the road and got hit.

Speaking of dogs... here is Jake, my friend Erika's dog. What a love he is!

This is fun! Happy dogs and a cat!

We had the Law Enforcement/.Fire luncheon. I wanted Mike to join us (being a former Fire Chief) but he had something else to do, but promised he'd join us soon. Lunch was good... I had the fish and chips (which I ate for lunch and dinner!)

We had a good group... Dan (LASD ret) and Karen Pohl came down from Myrtle Creek on their way to Ca. They had their 6 month old granddaughter Olivia with them. She is a doll! So sweet and smiley. Safe trip guys. See you again!!

Then to Safeway to get edamame, cilantro, etc to make that hummus dip, which I didn't. Will do today.

AWWW You had Edda's favorite meal: fish and chips! I love it too as long as I can squeeze out the grease. The LA County Fair had the best and fried zucchini too but omg so full of grease.

What a pretty baby girl. Lucky grandparents to be able to bring her along.

Sad about the Capitain and Tony. Don't you wonder what could go so wrong after 39 years together? Sad.

Awww my heart throb! Ricky Nelson! It took me years to accept that he was gone. :(
