Yesterday a bunch of us gals celebrated Jennifer's birthday
at the River's Edge...
This restaurant is on Rogue River Hwy in Grants Pass right
on the river with a great view... Summertime is best when you can sit out on the
deck.. but yesterday it rained all day...
Jennifer had fish and chips....
Jeannie and Donna had the pizza.....
Several of us had the Asian wrap.....
We all had wine!
We sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JENNIFER!
Picture time (the waitress, very sweet, stood on a chair to
get us all in...
l-r: Donna, Jeannie, me, Kathy, Micol, Bob (Micol's hubby
snuck in to pick her up....no men allowed!), Nancy, Jennifer, and
Tammy
(We missed having Dee with us, but she's still recovering from her surgery. xo ... and too much bad weather/snow for JoAnn to make it over from the coast.)
Then just the girls posed....
Jeannie and I wore the same shirt! OMG.
It says "Wine Me Up".... I would look so much better if I
had shorter and fatter friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, fun afternoon. Lots of chatter. The food..... eh.
Hope they get a new and better chef soon! I do want to go back in the nice
weather and sit on the deck and have a glass of vino!
All I know. Happy Saturday. Nuff said. Ciao.

February 8th
Boy Scout Day
Boy
Scout Day celebrates the birthday of Scouting in America. On February 8, 1910,
Chicago publisher William Dickson Boyce filed incorporation papers in the
District of Columbia to create the Boy Scouts of America.
Scouting
groups across the country celebrate this day. Often a cake will be served at the
weekly meeting or on a campout. Scout Sunday, the Sunday nearest the 8th of
February, will often be marked with a church service, followed by a pancake
breakfast.
Cub
Scouts and Boy Scouts offer a tremendously valuable program of life skills and
values for millions of boys. It has been popular ever since Lord Baden-Powell
founded Boy Scouts in the early 1900s in Great Brittain. The top award of Eagle
Scout, is an accomplishment that reaps recognition, rewards, and benefits for a
young man throughout his
life.

What a beautiful view from the patio of the restaurant. As for the card on helping Uncle Jack off a horse.....Was that card designed by Master Bates????

Bill, you are too funny!!!
That one cracked me up too! I have read those funny ones saying how important commas are too. lol
Your luncheon looked like so much fun! The food really looked good too but sorry you weren't that thrilled with it.
I had to chuckle at you and Jeannie wearing the same shirts. Was that planned? Hasn't that happened before?
I cringed looking at those snowy pictures. I wonder how anyone gets anywhere on time or without having an accident. Makes me happy to live in So. Cal. :)
XO Trisha
No, the 'shirt thing' wasn't planned. I had bought that one for Jeannie some time ago. Got myself one and had never worn it. We laughed at each other!!! xo
Fun time yesterday. " Shorter and fatter friends"????? You nut. Still can't believe we wore the same shirt. Good grief! Cute picture of you.
Going back to read the history. Thanks for the blog, chat later. xo
Jeannie
Yes, pretty tall think blondes are not the girls I need to have my picture taken next to!!!! xoxo
The history about Lana Turner is very interesting. I never knew, or don't remember, she died of throat cancer.
Okay what is a "tall think blonde"? Does that mean I'm always thinking?LOL ciao again,
Jeannie
My old arthritic fingers are NOT cooperating today. I meant "tall thin blonde" !!!! xoxo
GREAT blog. LOVE the punctuation joke. Three of our best friends live in Corvallis- but not the same Corvallis. Two in Oregon and one in Montana.
One of my writer pals is on camera talent for BHG- works for Christina F. Color me pea green.
Thanks L!! Christina seems like a genuinly nice woman! xo
