He loved those Rau Cigars (hand-rolled at Beverly & Vermont in LA by Mr. Rau).... or Bering Cigars....

When Jerry would get out a cigar, and if I was around, he'd ask if I liked music. Of course I said, "yes", and he'd put the cigar band on my finger and say, "Well good, here's a whole band". (silly!)

♥ Rest in peace my Darling ♥ You are so missed every single day! ♥

Omigosh. He died two days before Valentines Day? So sad. He looks like he was just a wonderful person and my heart goes out to you because I know that you miss him so much. He left a Jerry-shaped hole in your heart and all the children, friends, cats and dogs in the world will never fill it. Hang in today, Sue, hang in. Love, Vivia

What a fabulous tribute to the love of your life! What a guy! Wish I had known him. Just met him one time at Rick Buhman's birthday celebration at Kicks here in Diamond Bar.

I see now why you have been going thru old photos. They are all beautiful! I remember that morning so well when he passed away and you wrote to us. Cannot believe it's been seven years already!

I can tell he was a good man and I am sure he is looking down on you every minute of every day and loving you.

Hugs dear friend. Love you,

XOXO Trisha

You Know, Sue,... while I only saw Jerry in the most peripheral way when I visited the range, your wonderfully visual and endearing comments of him and your lives together make me miss him a great deal!

Blessings,

Rod

So sweet Sue, I did not know your darling Jerry in person but through your tribute I feels l like he was my old friend.
Thank you for sharing your love through pictures and stories.
And you are leading me through this journey and I know the pain never goes away, we just learn to live with it. Remember ALL the good times and for that the love lives on. xo

Sue, I tried to write a comment on your blog today about Jerry, but since I am not a computer person, it did not work, but I want to tell you how much Jerry meant to me. His was a true and honorable person, I enjoyed working with him, both with the Department and with the National Guard when he was my "Chief of Smoke". Jerry had that smile and laugh that was unforgettable, he was always fun to be around and I have a lot of great memories of him and you. I remember all the times we would go to our National Guard weekend drills or our two week annual training, we always had a great time. I go thru my past pictures and always see his smiling face and think how much everyone must miss this wonderful man, husband and father.

You take care of yourself and see you at the Round Up in Laughlin.

Love reading your daily blogs.
