Good 29º too dark out to see morning.
I will be adding a cartoon a day for the next three days...
the following is one... and thanks Mike Cipolla for these laughs~!
Today is a special birthday... friend, former LASD now ret. from Avalon and
Lakewood, husband of the famous JoAnn, resident of the Oregon coast.... JOE KIRK!
Happy Birthday Joe!!!
Watched Rachael Ray yesterday. She is so irritating with her hand waving,
hair fluffing, etc and the way she interrupts EVERYONE like what she has to say
is MORE IMPORTANT!!! UGH. But, she has some great recipes if you can get past
all the above... I generally Tivo the show so I can fast forward through the
nonsense. She had a young man make Slow Cooker Peanut Butter and Jelly
Cheesecake yesterday. OMG. Jeannie and I both HAVE to make this!!
Had a fun conversation with former LASD now ret Chris Miller. He is a
volunteer photographer for the department and the LASD Museum guy. I have some
photos of department happenings I'm going to send to him. I had posted this
photo on my FB page... this was about 1961 when I was in the LA Co Sheriff's
Boys Band.
(yes, that's right .... not PC!!!) There were 5 girls in the band, 2
carrying the banner and 3 of us playing the glockenspiel (bells).
Another high school friend, Jon Harting, was
also in the band. We marched in the Hollywood Lane Parade and the Rose Parade
behind Sheriff Eugene Biscailuz and his mounted posse. Chris posts photos
relating to the department on FB... https://www.facebook.com/LosAngelesCountySheriffsDepartment
I've got some good ones for you Chris.... Good talking to you!

LOL I am chuckling at the post above. Yes you did and I am amazed how early in life you were involved with LASD! Even the Boys Band! LOL Love your uniform! At first I thought you were a baton twirler or drill team member.
That card cracked me up! I know it wouldn't work for me as you have to be nicely endowed which I am not! :(
I agree Dan Quayle was too nice to be in politics. It made my blood boil the way the left never stopped tearing him apart like they have done with Sarah! grrrrr
XOXO Trisha
The band was fun, the parades were fun, but marching through horse poo was not! xo
Is there anything you HAVE not done?? lol LOve- t&g Jill of all trades!
LOL Tammy!! There are a few things I have wanted to do and they never got done.... Still time, maybe. xo
