Good 53º morning. Gonna be another hot one!
The electric bill came. Every time it is presented I am
thankful we had the Mitsubishi AC/Heat installed. That was in 2004 or 5. Cost
was $7000. My bill for this month, running the AC constantly, was only $121.00.
Everything here is electric.... besides the fridge, freezer, stove, etc... so is
the well pump. In order to get water it has to run. The water is free, but it
takes electricity to get it. This was a good investment! It has paid for itself.
There are three of these units...living room, dining room, and on the
stairwell. No duct work. YES!

Joke: (Thanks Carolyn Taylor .. wife of Ollie, ret. LASD)
On the first day of school, the children brought gifts for
their teacher. The supermarket manager's daughter brought the teacher a basket
of assorted fruit. The florist's son brought the teacher a bouquet of flowers.
the candy store owner's daughter gave the teacher a pretty box of candy. Then
the liquor store owner's son brought up a big, heavy box. The teacher lifted it
up and noticed it was leaking a little bit. She touched a drop of the liquid
with her finger tip and tasted it.
"Is it wine?" she guessed.
"No", the boy said. She tasted another drop and asked,
"Champagne?"
"No", said the little boy ..... "It's a puppy."

Yesterday was the Ronald Reagan BBQ. It was held at the Historic Hanley
Farm between Central Point and Jacksonville...
Good crowd.
Our next Governor (hopefully!), Dennis Richardson was there with his
lovely wife Cathy...
... and our Medford Representative Sal Esquivel
I had a picture taken with Dennis, but it didn't come out so good, so I
painted it!
Our JCRW President, Ruth, and her husband Shelly and all the ladies did a
wonderful job...lots of work...
Laraine and her daughters... Dawna, Laraine, and Denise
Phyllis and Leanne....
Oh and by the way Phyllis, NO Jeannie is not my daughter! Aaaarughhh....
now she's going to be calling me "mom"!!!
Yes, Jeannie and Bill were there too...
A chicken coop had a bunch of noisy roosters and this peacock sitting on
top... he wasn't afraid of me... just sat there and preened...
Food was cooked and served by Yummy's of Klamath Falls..
A corn salsa, salad, chicken and/or pork, beans, corn, and this super sweet
hot awesome orange/chili sauce I put on my corn... AMAZINGLY GOOD every bite!
Wine was donated for every table..
And we had great entertainment! Boy, they kept the toes tappin'!
There was this lady and her hat! She's running for some office, can't
remember what, but she was "different" honey!
I don't think I'd vote for her..... she said she drove her convertible
corvette to the BBQ and admittedly broke the speed laws doing so.
I donated a basket for the raffle .... red wine, white wine, "Liquid
Happiness" wine glass, "Wine Goddess" napkins, pasta, my marinara sauce, and a
roll of Obama toilet paper! (Don't get your panties in a knot you Democrat
friends of mine..... this was a Republican event! So, everyone thought it was
funny!)
Susan won it.....
A good day. Hopefully we raised a lot of money for our education fund.
There was some historical stuff this date and births... you can go to the
archives on the left for those facts if you are interested....
All I know. Catch up day. I put the trash out every Sunday and it's time to
do that again. I can't believe how fast these days fly by!!! Have a good one.
Nuff said. Ciao.

There was a young girl with a curl
She could not get to unfurl
Try as she might
It stayed curled up tight
So she thumbed her nose and let it twirl.
(Sorry.... pretty bad!! But... that was the point.)

Nice day yesterday. Sorry your pic didn't turn out. What was wrong with it? Looked like I did a good job to me. LOL I've always told you I am not a photographer. You should have painted the one of us too. Yikes. It was very nice to hear what all the speakers had to say. Many with great ideas!
Off to start my day. Have a good one and chat later. xo
Jeannie
Oh you DO have so many fun events!! That's what I love about August when candidates are running for office.
Your club does get many "R" VIP's out!
Hey girl, where were your r/w/b clothes? I know you have them.
I must say that hat on that gal is bigger than any of mine. Polka dots! lol
The food looked amazing!
I have never seen nor heard of that kind of A/C/Heat. If they do the job and your bill is so low well that's wonderful!! My bill was a bit over $600 for the month! UG!! Thought it would be less with fewer people in the house now but since JJ sleeps in the early part of the day and his room faces the east, it has to be cooled up there.
Happy Sunday!
XO Trisha
Wish that catering service came to Southern California!
Tammy, if I have another one I'll send it to you! xo
Jeannie, glad you and Bill joined us! xo
T, I was just not in the RWB mood. xo
