Maggie Dude Bruiser ~ Doug & Babette ~ Cuck/Tomato Salad and Steak ~ Batteries ~ Crawl Space ~ Blue Bird

Good 66º (yuck...hot) morning. Cloud cover all night and it held in the heat!
....and then...
(are you sh**ting me????? 109º?????   !)

I put the following on my blog a year ago today...

STOP THE PRESSES!!!Baby is a boy cat! Don't ask, but confirmed by me, a mother and grandmother, he has the necessary stuff to call him a boy! I'm still keeping his name as Baby. Since he's black and white I could call him Radio Car or Cruiser (Crew-za if we were in New Jersey!) Maybe I'll call him Baby Cruiser. or Bruiser! LOL

Yep, we ended up with Bruiser... but I still call him Baby on occasion!

So, I'm taking a picture of the sky... "Whatcha doin' mom? Huh? Huh? Huh?"

Today a high school friend, Doug Gossage, is celebrating his special day, and Sandy's baby sister Babette (Todoran) is celebrating her birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you both!!!!!!

...Oh, and by the way......

Dinner last night was an Omaha (I know, it looks like Obama!) steak... and took one of Jeannie's cucumbers and a tomato cut up... mixed blue cheese with mayo, lemon, and olive oil for a dressing. Put some of the blue cheese on the steak, 10 seconds in the micro to melt, and voilá....

                                        YUMMMMMO!

While I was cooking the deer were taking a break under the trampoline... and the Bruise was laying in the cool grass...

It's been "project days around here ... day before I had filled all 6 batteries in my golf cart with distilled water... tedious and you have to bend over .... pain in the you-know...

... yesterday I got the attic crawl space open
and sprayed WD-40 in there. Some critter has been making noise up there and I saw where it is tearing up the insulation... Hard to get to, as it's on the stairs and I'm short, hard to reach. Hope that keeps them at bay until I can get the pest guy out here.

I had a 25 pound bag of Blue Bird flour...
... the BEST flour ever! Comes from the 4 corner states (Utah Colorado Arizona New Mexico).. Cortez Milling
Click here: Cortez company produces 600,000 bags of Blue Bird flour each year - Navajo Times Online  I bought it the first time when I visited my sis in Arizona, then after that I had it sent to me. Apparently they are making 5 and 10 pound sacks now. Wish it was sold here.

Anyway.............. I put the flour into gallon zip bags. One went into my flour keeper, three into the freezer, and one will go to Jeannie to test out. Today will be another project!

All I know. Happy Hump Day. Nuff said. Ciao.

It amazes me at how COLD it gets at your place in winter and how hot in the summer.
Loved the pics of the fur babies watching you. Cute!
Now tell us, HOW did you cook that steak to make it so juicy? Pan fried? I have cooked them on my Forman grill and YUK! Dry!! You have to put butter on it to moisten.
Hey girl, it scared me when I saw how high up that little door is to the crawl space. You need stay stay OFF tall places when you are there by yourself!

OK It's Margarita night tonight! Can't do straight shots so will be have to make do! :)

Trish, glad you liked the pictures!
I marinate the steak in orange or pineapple juice, spray Pam on the George Foreman grill, and cook away.
Enjoy your maggie tonight! xo
