Bruise To Vets ~ Mowing Mowing Mowing ~ Jam Filled Biscuits

Good 32º clear and sunny morning. Hit 78º yesterday! Supposed to be in the 80ºs today. Wow, rapid change.

So, trip to the vets for the Bruise yesterday. Getting him into the cat carrier was NOT easy. But, he did go and didn't complain.

The doc said he had debris in his ear and would sedate him to check it out. He ended up with an infection in the ear canal. His ear was flushed. He got an antibiotic shot and antibiotic cream was put into his ear canal. Goes back in two weeks for repeat of ear cream. Picked him up at 3. Won't let him outside for a couple days.

Started mowing about 11.... mowed for 2 ½ hours.
This is where I was mowing down by the gate....

...and this is where I had to mow.....
Most of the grass is just about 1' tall.

Jason showed up and weed-eated where I couldn't mow, along the fence, around stumps, next to tractor shed, and on steep slopes. He'll be back Thursday we have a lot more to do!

LOL, this from Trish...... LOVE it!

Want a real treat? Jam filled biscuits!
1 can of Grands Flaky Layers refrigerated biscuits
1/2 cup raspberry jam preserves (or your favorite)
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon if you desire
Heat oven to 400º. Spray large cookie sheet with cooking spray. Separate dough into 8 biscuits and gently separate each biscuit half way into 2 layers. Spoon 1 tablespoon of jam into center of each biscuit and pinch edges to seal.
Dip each biscuit into butter and then sugar (add a pinch of cinnamon to sugar lends a bit of spice) and set on cookie sheet. Bake 14-16 minutes until golden brown on edges.

Last night Bruiser was a nut case. The anesthesia had not worn off until about 9pm. He was like a drunk. Wobbley when he walked, like he was on speed and "LOOK there's a squirrel!!" ... running and jumping and nosey about everything. Poor Dude, he rubbed against him and laid on his back in front of him. Dude was nervous. Little did he know the claws had all been trimmed! Bruise is calmer now but I won't let him outside for another day or so.
"Please mom, let me go out there."

Tucker had a game last evening, I didn't go, but they won 14-9!! YEAH.

Taking the day off from mowing. Dude goes in to the vet for a heartworm test at 2. Laying back. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

Administrative Professionals Day
(Hope you get treated to lunch Tootie! xo)

.......
National Pigs In A Blanket Day

I like to cut the dog almost through, put a strip or two of cheese in it, and some jalapeño slices.... before wrapping it in the crescent roll. 375º 12-15 min. You can also lay the cheese slice on the crescent roll, add the dog and roll up. Brush outside of roll with milk or olive oil, roll in crushed nacho cheese flavored tortilla chips! Bake 15-22 min. Dip in mustard or whatever condiment you like.... mix mayo with mustard... mix siracha with mayo or mustard ... mix catsup with mayo.....

Bruise was unhappy, for sure, but he's back to his silly loving self and his ear isn't bothering him! YEAH. I have some crescents, so thinking about that for dinner! Thanks Tammy! xo

Better late than never with a quick comment. You have been busting your hiney(I'm not sure of the spelling???looks wrong, oh well, you know what I mean) with the mowing. Aren't you glad it's not a push mower?
What a day for the Bruise. Gosh, poor little guy. Sure hope his ear is better, and you better not let him escape, he might not be back. I mean, come on, you bring Dude in to his new found home, and make him jealous, then on top of that you haul him to the vet. He's probably thinking "what the heck did I do"? I bring you treasures, I bite your foot, I love to sleep on your desk so you can pet me, sigh...All kidding aside, he is one lucky guy to hve you to take care of him.
Pigs in the blanket, yum , and those jam filled biscuits made me slobber, not drool, but slobber.
Yeah for Tucker's team. Bet they were all happy.
Off to try and get motivated. It's a beautiful day, think I'll go outside and soak up some sunshine. Have a great afternoon and chat later. xo Jeannie
There, I commented.
