Sky ~ ChickenPastaVeggieCheese ~ Sami's Videos ~ Deer ~ Turkeys ~ Tim

Good 32º pressure dropping fast morning.

Red sky in the morning, Sailor's take warning. Red sky at night, Sailor's delight. It was referenced in the bible in Matthew, and in Shakespeare. It refers to the fact that red has the longest wavelength in the color spectrum- and reflects the dust of passing and coming storms. Red Sky at Night-means high concentrations of dust particles and high pressure- stable air = good weather. Red Sky in the Morning-dust of a storm just passed, moving to the East. Blazing Red Sunrises mean high H2O content-rain on the way.

Sunday night I was hungry and creative (?)... So I got out the following...
...we have here Feta cheese, a can of Kirkland chicken, olives, chicken stock, Anellini pasta, black beans, Parmesan cheese, sweet peppers, and broccoli ...Oh, and some blue cheese that was still in the fridge...

I chopped the peppers and put them in the pan with broccoli and chicken stock.

Then I added everything else and put on the lid and let it cook. I found some grated cheese in the freezer so then I added that...

I have to say, it was spectacularly good and sooooo cheesy!

Here are the videos I took at Sami's party... very very short and they wouldn't load on the Smilebox...

Visits from the deer and the crazy turkeys yesterday....

Yesterday Tim (aka The Timinator) showed up with a couple truck loads of madrone he cut. He worked on the splitter and got it running. He'll be back today to split the wood.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

March 5th
National Cheese Doodle Day

I have never had a Cheese Doodle. They are made by Wise foods, but I have read that Cheetos are more cheesy. So, if you ever run across Cheese Doodles, compare them.

Blogger isn't let me post- won't let me check off the sign in name- so here it goes

Interesting about the red skies. Far less dangerous to ponder than a one on one with a bag of Cheez Doodles to compare to Cheetos.

Really good post Sue.

I enjoyed the Sami videos- they are such cute kiddos! Love the First Lady comment too. I thought what the heck is she doing on the Oscars? The night before she was on Jimmy Fallon. No wonder Hollywood got a Tax Break!! They love the limelight! Luv- t and g

Thanks Tam, I should have made the videos longer, but too much going on. As for Moochelle, she's been on Dr. Oz and Rachael Ray too. The way Rachael gushed over her, I'm not watching RR any more! GAG.

RR can't leave her hair alone and her hands open-palms are always flashing in front of her face. Her show WAS a cooking show, sure changed.
