Historically this date....
1752 – Pennsylvania
Hospital, the first hospital in the United States, is opened
by Benjamin
Franklin.
...........what a bunch of stupid idiots back then!
....."is that the cat who chewed my new shoes?"
2011 – The first
wave of the Egyptian
revolution culminates in the resignation of Hosni Mubarak and the
transfer of power to the Supreme Military Council after 18 days of
protests.
And births this date include...
..... only 5 husbands, unlike her sister Za Za with 9 !
... In 'Airplane' when Nielsen was asked "Surely you can't be serious?"
and he responds, "I am serious, and don't call me Shirley." LOVE IT LOVE IT!
.....is he REALLY going to run for President? NO WAY. He will never make
it. OMG. He'll ruin it for any Republican. He's out of his mind! I love the Bush family, but this will be a no go!
The birthday barbecue yesterday at Debbie and Tom's for Johnette was really
nice. I took Dee's 'salsa/cheese' dip and Frito Scoops and it was a hit! PatC
made deviled eggs. Yummmm. We had barbecued steak, baked potatoes, salad, and
Tom made a pretzel/chocolate crusted cheesecake with a caramel topping. GREAT
tasting! We all rolled out of there oinking! Debbie took pictures of us and I
took pictures of the food!

Tim aka The Timinator was home sick. Tom didn't get in these pictures
because he was wearing a (on Deb) floor length girls sweater! Oh wait.... here

All I know. Happy Monday. Nuff said. Ciao.

"Life of Pi" was fantastic.......hard to believe the animals are computer animated............Also I like that onion idea. Steve
Thanks Steve, good to hear about the movie! Also, you can cut up peppers (bell or jalapeno) and freeze them for later. x
Well I just gained five pounds looking at the cake! Looks so yummy! Your plate looked scrumptious too.
Funny when I read a comment on your blog that I agree about I find that I am looking for the "Like" button! lol Waaay too much time on FB I think!

XOX Trisha
p.s. I have been buying the frozen bag of sliced and different colored bell peppers. They really come in handy.
OK. I surrender. I'll go see Life of Pi. There seem to be 2 camps. Those in love with the cinematography and those who snoozed at the story-line.
Funny to think that Sarah Palin and Jennifer Anniston share the same horoscope):- Other than that- maybe their natural hair color- meow):-
Thanks T, that shirt cannot be worn around the grandchildren....! LOL. xo
And L, Sarah and Jennifer both have those fun personalities! I think they are a lot alike. And MEOW is right girl! xo
Hi Sue: What a cute picture. You guys looks like a
bunch of college girls out for a day of fun.
I saw Life of Pi and it was unbelivably better even than
I thought it would be. Won lots of awards at the
Globes, but not enough for a picture that I read took
4 years to shoot. Once you see it, you'll wonder, as I
did, how they ever shot it at all !!! Great flick.
Gotta run, Cyndi
THANKS Cyndi!!! xo
