28º ~ Muslim Donations ~ Farro With Vegetables ~ The Bruise ~ Earrings

Good 28º very burrrrrr morning. Today is just supposed to stay cold. Maybe warming to the low 30ºs. Thank goodness for long underwear and heated car seats!

Quite a storm up this way yesterday. Lots of ice.... Here is our summit... it's lonely...no traffic. I also heard the Grapevine was closed and lots of folks stranded....

A real chuckle from my friend Ann Ramirez....
Not for children. No real language, but they might be asking you why your are laughing so hard.

1923Ira Hayes, US Marine (d. 1955)

Ira was a true hero. For all of you Jar Heads out there, I found this neat site, takes a few to load, filled with USMC heroes...old and modern day. Great site! Awesome photos. Semper Fi.

1951Kirstie Alley, American actress
I miss Cheers!

Dinner was good. I cooked the Farro in the rice cooker. Then I sauteéd some broccoli, red bell pepper, mushrooms, chopped red onion, and garlic in my infused olive oil. The Ferro comes out very creamy, like risotto. I topped the Farro with the veggies. GOOD!!!

Had a snuggy fire. Chatted with Jeannie, Linda, & Patty. Watched Blue Bloods with a cat on my lap. (Harley) The Bruise was in and out all day but slept all night next to me... First picture.. he is wary of having the camera in his face! You can see the size of his polydactyl paws!

All I know. Made earrings yesterday.... Patty wanted some..

Need to do laundry today..... Happy Saturday. Ciao.

Another great blog post to start my day with.

Too bad the pharmacists of America have so many customers in need of them right now.

Thanks L. I was in the pharmacy yesterday and behind the counter one of them was coughing up a storm and in the lobby too. UGH! I couldn't get out of there fast enough! xo

Don't normally watch Steven Colbert, but that was funny.

Yes, Steve Colbert was a HOOT! Don't know how he got away with that! LOL

Oh my do I ever need a pharmist today!! Coughed all night and again last night and today I have no voice! Been on the phone with Kaiser which was really hard to talk with no voice. I was squeaking but she could understand me. A miracle! Waiting for the advice nurse to call back. Yea I know I should have tried to see a doc yesterday while at my PT app.

This is the pits!

Love the pics of Bruiser. He is such a beauty!

Hugs, Trisha

T, I hope you are gargling with the apple cider vinegar. If you put about 2 T of it in 1/3 c water or tea... swallow it. It kills germs in your throat. It will HELP!!! Take vitamin C often ... all day long. I know, I know... but they work. So does the Zicam!
