Good 38º morning. No change in temp from last night. Made it to 39º after the 32º start and never changed much. Thank goodness for long underwear!

Sally Harwell (LASD ret) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope your special day is GREAT! Sally, a former Marine and in Jerry's academy class!

When Jeannie and I were lunching Thursday we got tickets for the Grants Pass drawing. There are 50 businesses that are participating. The drawing is every Saturday until Christmas. You get a ticket for every $10 you spend at that particular business. Drop the stub in the drawing box and then you take the tickets to the Chamber building and get a free thermos mug! Here's mine... If you live in Grants Pass, make sure you get yours!

Yesterday was interesting. Well, let me back up. On Thursday night Harley was irritated with Bruiser and was going for him. I picked up Harley and he bit my left hand. OMG it hurt! I put him in the bathroom and some of you were right, Bruiser came up in my lap and slept there for a couple of hours! He was so happy and purring. Harley got his reprieve, and is back among us.

Anyway, everything happens to that hand... gun shot wound, splinters, and now a cat bite. My doc wasn't in and I needed to be seen by a doc before they could give me any antibiotics. So I got an appointment for 11:45 yesterday.

Saw a Dr. Keith Williams. He was soooo nice and very good to look at! Here's a picture of he and his pretty wife that was in the exam room.

Raised in So. Cal, W. Covina and Placentia. He now has a son who is a doctor in Tucson and one who is a policeman here in Central Point. He said that cat's mouths are a cesspool of germs, more so than a dog's mouth! He gave me a super strong time released antibiotic. Started on them last night and the swelling has gone down a bit and the skin is not so warm to the touch. He said to watch it closely.

Last evening I met up with Dale & Dee, Jeannie & Bill, and Cathy & Tom for prime rib dinner at the Elks. My prime rib was perfect! Almost, but not quite Lawry's good. Half of it came home for reruns today. Jeannie had the terriyaki steelhead, and sent some home for Harley & Bruiser! An LE friend, Tom Marshall (LAPD), was there with his other cop buddies and he bought me a glass of wine and he had made cheesecake for the dinner and made sure I got a piece of that. We all tasted it and it was GOOD! Nice guy, and no, don't get any ideas~!!

Here I was thanking Tom..... (Dale got a hold of my camera!)

And Cathy and Dee were tossing money and hoping for jackpots!

All I know. Happy Saturday. Nuff said. Ciao.

I had to read the rest of the blog with tears in my eyes due to the video. Gary walked in and saw mw crying, so I made him watch. Funny how something "got in his eye" when it was over.

Thank you for sharing that! I am craving prime rib and baked potato now!! Love- t and g

Gary asked what happened to Sue, now, when he saw the Dr.'s office? I said her cat Harley bit her. He was bitten by a stray once and got cat scratch fever. It looked alot like Bruiser. Swear. Again, T and G

Glad you are understanding of your cat's temper tantrum and had the smarts to go to the doctor. Anything a dog can to bad, a cat can do worse.

Prime rib.. yummalicious!

Cats do have many sharp objects on their body! Any dog who doesn't respect cats is nuts!!! LOL. I do, but tend to get in the middle of things.

h Sue, so sorry about your cat bite. Girl you do have problems with your hands! Did that swollen finger you had go back to normal yet?
Naughty Harley for biting the hand that feeds him! Glad he got a time out. I would have probably smacked him good too.

Tell me, how do you reheat a piece of prime rib? I have never been happy with the taste when it's reheated.

I will watch the video later as I don't wanna cry this early in the morning and I no doubt would!

XO Trisha

Yes, T, the swollen finger went away. Never happened like the doc said, festering and coming to a head. Can't be mad at Harley, as he didn't bite me intentionally. He was caught up in the moment of Brusier being there and when I picked him up he was in the 'fight mode' and probably thought he was being attacked from behind. I will probably heat it fast, sliced, and put on a sandwich or just cut it into small pieces. I'll use the aujus to heat it in with a tad of olive oil.
Yes, you will cry! xo
