Fog ~ Awesome Home Paint Jobs ~ Nuthatch ~ Tree Trimming ~ Sun!

Good 38º (it's 81º in Palm Springs!) somewhat foggy morning. Yesterday hit 80º. Unbelievable.

My So Cal Diamond Bar friend Trish shared this... apparently the community where this man lives wouldn't let him put up an American Flag in his yard (Communists!) so he got even...... I LOVE it!!!

And then my pal Tammy, down in Modesto, sent this house picture... If I didn't have vinyl siding on my house I'd paint it like one of these!!!

Something that is really ticking me off... the left liberal idiots are now saying in Oregon that if they have a team or school mascot that is "race-based".... like the Seminoles, or Indians or Rogue River high school's the "Chieftains" will have to be changed. This from Oregon's Superintendent of Schools, Susan Castillo. She needs to be taken out back along with all the rest of the liberal dems who promote taking down tradition! They probably want the Cleveland Indians to change their name and what about the "fighting Irish" of Notre Dame? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I looked out on the porch and here was this little nuthatch picking at Maggie's dog bed... getting 'fluff' to make a nest...
(sorry it's so fuzzy...lol...but taken through the glass and screen door)

So I took a Nyjer seed sock and filled it with dryer lint for the birdies.... we'll see if they find it..........

Historically this date....

1905Edmund G. "Pat" Brown, Governor of California (d. 1996)

1935Charles Grodin, American actor

1951Tony Danza, American actor and comedian

My friend, Rod Johnson (ret. LASD USMC) sent me this link that you put in your zip code and it will give you all the gas prices in your area ... who is highest and who is lowest....
Thanks Rod!

Yesterday morning, 8:30, Ken and Cody were here to trim the trees under the power lines... I had gone down and opened the gate for them about 7:30. It was FOGGY!!!

See, with enough water, anything will grow anywhere! I love this picture.

So Trees Inc arrive......

The following picture just for Ken's wife! "Hi Honey, see I'm working!"

Ken and Cody checking out the trees that needed trimming under the power lines...

And as it turned out.... 80º !!! What a beauty of a day...

Dave and PJ came up and Dave got the lawnmower running, dead battery. He then took it home and sharpened the blades. Yeah! Today I MOW!!! Also going to make egg salad. Maybe stir-fry some asparagus and soba noodles and add other stuff!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

Sue,
LOL who is "me"? Hope you know! lol

How nice that you have those guys to trim the trees. They do it at no charge to the home owner I assume? What cuties.

Tks for putting up the pic of the American Flag house. Can you just imagine what the HOA had to say about THAT?? teehee

Have a great day!

Would you like to raise that 81 degrees to 109 ... that's what it was out there today with 50% humidity.

See, your choice was to live in Palm Desert..... mine was to live where it rains. But, going from 50+ degrees to over 80 in the span of a day is overdoing it! xo
