Waffled Cheese Sandwich ~ Smoked Brisket Burritos

Good 43º cloudy morning.

Between yesterday and this morning another 1/2" of rain.

Yesterday didn't look much different....

Do you realize it's been a month since Christmas already!

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....................................

I just read that James Farentino died. Hmmmm.. he was a good actor, apparently had personal problems....

My printer took a dump so I ordered a new one from Staples. It's an HP, free 1 day shipping, and $70 off. It's nice! Showed up at noon and me, the electronic illiterate, got it all together, printed fine and even faxed Brian's office. Wow, I am so proud of me!

It prints real wide (13x19) to narrow 4" envelopes.

I sent the following on the fax to Brian's office ....

Really laughed at this. My pal Adelle (Easton, for you Wilsonites) had this posted on her FB page.

Breakfast was 'waffled cheese sandwich'!

Put in waffle iron until done....

This guy let his son see his pay stub and this was his reaction: (It would be the same if he saw my Social Security raise!)
(Thanks for this Mike Cipolla!)

Dinner last night was burritos...
I shredded up a smoked brisket that Bill and Jeannie gave me.... and piled it on tortillas with cheese, lettuce, avocado, sour cream, and salsa...............

I heated them in the microwave so they were soft. OMG, good stuff! Saved one for today's lunch.

I'm half Irish and have half and half in the frig. May be as close to a good swig of Irish coffee as I get until hubby is back at work. Then I'll have to celebrate with one of my favorite drinks. On this planet or any other.

Same with brisket. I hadn't missed beef until I saw the picture in this post):-

Sue,
The best Irish Coffee that has passed my lips was served to me at the Buena Vista,at the turn-around for the SF Trolley near Fisherman's Wharf. Always had one each time I was in SF on business or attending a Convention or up there for a college football game. Proper cup, flame the sugar cube, fresh cream and excellent Irish Whiskey. Gooooood! Thanks for triggering happy memories. XO Edda

Yes, Buena Vista is well known for its Irish coffee. When pilots rave about them you know they are good....damn, I didn't say that!
