Good 28º (nearly a heat wave) morning. Very cloudy out there.
Summit is still pretty covered....
Had Maggie at the vets at 9am yesterday. I called at 2pm and she had already come out of the anaesthetic and Joan said she wagged her tail at her. I picked her up at 4pm. She was still 'loopy' and missed the stairs coming up onto the porch. Poor baby girl.
The lump taken out of her shoulder will go for biopsy. She has a bunch of stitches and of course the surgical area was shaved, so with her Cushing's Disease the hair will never grow back, just like her 'baboon' butt after it was shaved to remove a cyst.
At least it's not something that bothers her. I have never seen her back up to the mirror and look at it over her shoulder... or say, "Does this make my butt look big?"
She is on pain meds 4x a day and I have to put triple antibiotic cream on the area.
She seems "back to normal" this morning.
Going into town it was weird yesterday to see the snow on the ground. Not something I see here... as when it snows I usually stay home. Surprisingly, not many cars out on the road!
.... and my road....
Was hungry for a BLT for "brunch"...
I LOVE BF mayonnaise and a 'ton' of lettuce! Mmmmmmm, it was soooooooooooo good. May have another today~! Love that pre-cooked bacon.... 12 seconds in the microwave and it's ready!
From my friend, Gator, retired USN, in FLA..... this is darling... you will laugh.... Puppy in a Pile of Leaves
Today is a momentous prodigious stupendous occasion... good friends Joe and JoAnn Kirk are celebrating their 4th Wedding Anniversary!
Wow! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY kids.
They were married at the Long Beach Museum of Art, outside, over-looking the ocean. 35 guests on a perfect day. They honeymooned on Catalina Island...
Lights and siren, JoAnn??? You gots to get after those felonious un-leashed dogs on Front Street!

Add the sugar, butter and cloves to a coffee mug. Pour the rum, and stir well. Fill with boiling water. Stir again, and serve.

Glad Maggie is doing okay, poor baby girl, and if she ever does back up to that mirror, no her butt does not look big. You silly.
Happy Annniversary Joe and Joann! We will be toasting!
Pretty snowy scene yesterday in RR. GP did not get that at all.
Betty White is amazing, and she still looks good! Must be that nightly cocktail. LOL On the other side of the coin, Michelle Obama, not so much.
Have a fun day cooking. Chat later.
xoxo Jeannie
I'll be glad when your other comment section returns, or is it?
Jeannie
Thanks BFF. Do you think Billy will make a hot buttered rum??? Sure sounds good to me! Will do later..... and let you know.
Don't know what you mean by "other comment section".....
Hot buttered rum. The thought of it loosens my tongue... more accurately my fingertips...
Looks like Maggie was trying out a Brazillian Wax and thought better of it.
Prayers the biopsy goes well. Waiting for results is worse than the procedure.
Thanks, L! With all you have been through with your hubby, you know better than most about the waiting!
LOL, "Brazillian Wax" !!!!
Sue,
I think she means that for the last couple of days when you want to make a comment there's a little window that pops up on the left side of the screen for posting comments. It's just different, that's all.
Glad Maggie came thru her surgery ok. What do you put her pills in? We always used p. butter.
Funny when I was reading about Betty White, she was on TV at that moment. Eric loves to watch Golden Girls in the morning before getting ready to leave for work. I love their house and their clothes on that show. She is amazing!
I loved the puppy dog video in the pile of leaves. I posted it on Pets We Love as soon as Gator sent it.
Your sandwich had my mouth watering! I also love piles of lettuce on a sandwich! I'll have to try that precooked bacon.
Have a good one and hugs to Maggs.
XO Trisha
Thanks T, yes we chatted on the phone about the "other comment page". I had to get rid of the embedded and use the pop-up as there were problems. Works, anyway!
Maggs says 'thanks' for the hugs! xo
You are correct, 28 is a heat wave, we were only 15 this AM
Jim
Give the Magster hugs and kisses from us. BTW your post of our first lady is just so wrong on so many levels. FUNNY! Joe & Jo
Hi Sue....
I was just wondering why there is a chair sitting next to the trash can.....
greg
LOL, because I was going to throw it out and got that far and thought it would be a good place to sit and rest if anyone wanted to!
Crock pots have sure improved since we got married! Maybe I should "kill" mine):-
Go for it, L! They aren't very expensive and you have so many settings now.
