Ice ~ Wafflecuits ~ Pulmonary Test Results ~ Chocolate Cake

Good frozen 28º foggy morning.

Looks as if we got another 1/2" of rain....

Breakfast yesterday was eggs, cheese/garlic wafflecuits, and sliced tomatoes. "Wafflecuits" you say? Yep.......

To Bisquick biscuit mix you only add water. You don't have to make the whole package. Using a soup spoon, scoop out 1 rounded spoonful for each biscuit. Add water a little at a time to make a spreadable dough. I also added a few drizzles of olive oil. Heat the waffle iron, put one scoop for each on the iron, close lid and check after a couple of minutes, and continue to check until the doneness you want. These were awesome. A little salsa on the wafflecuit, a bit of egg, and voilá! Heaven.

Mr. Robin was out on my fence post while I cooked....

The Snowy Owl Invasion:

So, yesterday was the appointment with the pulmonary specialist, Anna Marie Day. Very pretty charming lady, a California girl born in Pomona, raised in Glendora and Laguna. The exam room had a really pretty wall mural... relaxing...

The interesting news is that I don't have asthma. I have been treated for asthma for 13 years~! I have an acute bronchial problem brought on, she thinks, by acid reflux. So will be taking Prilosec
for the next month to see. I had stopped taking the Advair a few days ago, which she said was good. The doctor checked my chest x-ray and the lungs are perfectly clear. Also the breathing tests showed I have 100% lung function! That is not the case if you have asthma.

As for the acid reflux, she said it's often not noticeable if it comes on in the night when I'm sleeping. I will see her again in a month. Also the results of my mold test with the petri dish were negative. A good thing!

On the drive home I actually saw sun!

Stopped in Albertson's and got several boxes of the Peanut Butter Cheerios
...on sale at $2.48 and regularly $4.99! (Got you one Jen, for the kids to try.) OMG they are sooooo good. I opened one of the boxes and almost ate half of it on the way to Jeannie and Bill's. Took them a box too and Jeannie loved them also! Jeannie and I sat with a wine and chatted. Chaka and Bill had gone for a run and when they came back I had a treat for the girl...

She's camera shy....
and won't look at me when I have that 'thing' in front of my face! But, her mom and dad never take her picture, so I can understand why!~(Find that camera Jeannie!!!!!)

Ahhh Missa Row, how you go? How row you go Missa Row?

They communicated in French instead.Baryshnikov is in a long-term relationship with former ballerina Lisa Rinehart. They have had three children together: Peter (born July 7, 1989), Anna (born May 22, 1992), and Sofia (born May 24, 1994). In an interview with Larry King, Baryshnikov said that he didn't believe in marriage because the commitment that people make to each other didn't have anything to do with a legal marriage. He stated that he wasn't religious, so standing in front of an altar would not mean anything to him.[Baryshnikov currently owns a home at the Punta Cana Resort and Club in the Dominican Republic.

Gotta get out that waffle iron!!!
Even Donna Reed has a camera. LOL
So glad to hear how your tests came out. Crazy about the acid reflux. Sure hope the Prilosec works.
The cheerios are delicious, but I like them best without milk. Thank you for getting them for us.
Have a wonderful day and we will chat later. xo
Jeannie
Chaka and her picture. Silly girl.

It is just a matter of time before Peanut Butter Cheerios are under government control for addictive qualities):-

God Bless Donna Reed. She understood the importance of role model before it was necessary to suggest people in the public eye should consider it part of their job- apart from celebrity - it is a duty of all adults. IMHO

Sue,
Our Lola is like Chaka. I think she knows that thing flashes a bright light at her so she always turns her head. We have to trick her to get a frontal pic.

Glad you don't have asthma. Kevin has had bad acid ref. since high school but it's mostly under control now. Good luck with the new med. Oh dad put blocks under the legs of the head of Kev's bed. It's what the doc says to do do to control it. Elevate on a slant.
I get so annoyed with that attitude about marriage that MB has! Way to go to have many babies and not be legslly committed to their mothers! GRRRR

Hugs, Trisha

@ Jeannie.... you have to read L's comment about PB Cheerios! Funny L!
@ T, thanks re the asthma. Weird, huh? All that money wasted on Advair!! And it's soooooooo expen$ive! Hope this works. As for MB, he's Hollywood. You know how that goes. Not many are role models for the young. xo
