Leaves ~ Rain ~ Doc ~ Crockpot Soup

Good 45º raining pouring morning!

Wow, this is some rain storm we are in the middle of. Started late yesterday afternoon while Jason was here blowing the leaves for me... Then poured all night.

Here is the radar and the satellite.....

We got over an inch since 3-ish yesterday:

Here is the cleaned off drive. See all the leaves I am going to have to do something with???........
I told Jason I'd probably call him back after this storm is over to 're-do'. But, so far we haven't had the wind here that was predicted at 70 mph!

Went to the doc yesterday. Gloomy drive...

He's moved from his Central Point office to Medford.
Very nice and he has a new nurse, Michelle. Her hubby is a CHP and they live all the way (1½ hr drive each way) in Ft. Jones! We had a great chat! The doc seems to think I have chronic bronchitis. He's scheduling me an appointment with a lung specialist. So, next week I'll know more. Sigh..............................

Another great video .. from Tally

Yesterday I made soup in the crockpot. Not one of the recipes I had sent everyone from Betty Crocker (http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/preparation/slow-cooker-recipes/slow-cooker-soup-recipes ) but one with ingredients I had on hand....

Chicken stock, barley, sprouted rice and wild rice, roasted red pepper, onion, celery, dried garlic slices, rinsed black beans, onion, broccoli, diced sweet potato, and some cubed smoked turkey....

On a cold rainy night, it was fantastic!

Today is the 36th wedding anniversary of Jerry's former partner Steve Voors and his wife Barbara. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY kids!!!

Let me know when it is time for our marathon and popcorn! LOL
Was that the biscuit on top of your soup? If so, did you just drop it in like you thought you might do, or ???? Looked good.
Have a wonderful day. xo

I remember when John Kennedy was shot. I was watching TV (it was a school holiday) with Joann Turovsky. I got on my blue bicycle and screamed the news to the neighbors who hadn't heard.

I was working at Regent Jack Mfg. in Downey. I was walking up the stairs to my office in the engineering dept. when one of the draftsmen had just gotten a call from his wife and told me. Shocked!! I wasn't necessarily a fan of JKF but when any US president is assassinated it's a tragedy and horrific! That weekend there was just music played on the radio stations. The entire nation was in mouning.
Sue, me thinks you need a giant vacuum cleaner for those leaves! :)

Hugs, Trisha
