FB Attack ~ Storing Ginger ~ LAPD Unit with Regular License Plates! ~ Spicy Popcorn

Good 46º drippy morning. In the last 24 hours we've gotten 1/3" of rain. 70% chance today, 90% chance tonight, and snow still on the agenda for Saturday.

Apparently there was a massive FaceBook attack on lots of folks pages with porn. Here is the site talking about it and hints as to what to do if your page was compromised...

Here is an interesting site about peeling ginger with a spoon, the befits of eating ginger, and recipes.

It also tells the best ways to store fresh ginger, but it doesn't mention my way... put the ginger in a small 1/2 pint glass jar and fill with vodka. It will stay fresh and flavor the vodka for later consumption!

Here is a site that agrees with me...

Ok, here's a funny story from my friend Dan Patz who is former LASD and living the life in Texas now....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your blog today reminded me of an incident that happened to me. I was working 27T in Commerce one fine day, when I spotted an LAPD car roaming through my area, with REGULAR license plates. This, of course, excited my keen police mind, so I turned on the reds, tooted the horn and pulled the car over.
As I cautiously approached, I could see the car was being driven by a young blonde with a totally lost expression on her face.
I asked why she was driving a police car, and she said, "I'm totally lost, officer. Can you help me?" HUH?
OK, so I had to ask why she was driving a marked police car with regular plates. She told me she was working for a movie studio and was supposed to deliver the car to a location but was hopelessly confused. I got her license and registration (sure enough, the 10-28 said "Universal Studios") and ran a quick check of the plates and VIN. Sure enough, it did belong to Universal!! And it wasn't stolen.
I asked her where she was supposed to be, and it turned out that she had gone the wrong direction when she left the studio and had no idea where she was. I gave her directions and escorted her to the correct freeway on-ramp.
Things aren't always what they appear to be, especially in L.A.
Love it Dan, thanks!
Yesterday I went into Grants Pass for errands, saw Brian and he said Emily was on her way to Florida and was in Arkansas. Long drive! Stopped in at Bill and Jeannie's. Totally forgot to take Chaka a Milk Bone. OMG. Poor baby, at least they had some doggie treats close for me to give her. Such a disappointed baby girl! Jeannie and I had some wine and chatted. She made popcorn and put melted butter on it and said for me to choose some spice for it. I chose Tony Chachere's Creole spice....
 OMG, it was soooooooooooo good!!!Spicy and a little hot. Gots to make some for me to pig out on!
Came home and heated a pork chop, put a slice of cheese on it to get melty, and dipped it into guacamole dip. Mmmmm mmmmm!
All I know. Nuff said. U.S. Navy Band in concert tonight at Grants Pass High. Ciao.
Very interesting about the ginger. Never knew how to store it, mine always went bad. Now I know. Thanks!
Those poor kids at the end of your blog. That must be their only food intake. SAD!!! Must admit, the food looks good, but, once in awhile will do. xo
Yes, with the flavored vodka, Billy can make an interesting cocktail! I agree, fast food is fun ... once in a while! Those children will have a lifetime of overweight. Sad is right. xo
Sue,
I have seen that pic of the boys at McD's before and always think he looks like the son of the Michilen Man! :( (I know I spelled that wrong:)
Thanks for the article and link to the FB hacking. I was never so shocked as when I went to my news feed and the first pic was a horrid porno pic from Daryl, supposedly! It was sent thru some gal in Malasia! I checked her FB page and sure enough, it was porn! I sent this link to Daryl and told him to change his password. Awful and you KNOW he was so embarrassed that his MOTHER received it!
Hugs, Trisha
I like to spray on I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and then sprinkle on grated parmesan, or any grated cheese. I like taco seasoning on it. Bob's Seasoning Salt, or Lawry's. My friend, Patty, likes brewers yeast on hers. YUCK. Garlic salt is good, seasoned pepper, any spices you would normally like and eat.
