Ugly Stretch Pants ~ Udon Noodles w/ Shrimp & Scallops

Good 43º morning. I think there are clouds out there but cant see yet. Pressure up and down. Pollen count is 2.60 out of 12, which is low-medium but by Saturday will be 4.00.
Yesterday the pest guy came and installed a "mole chaser". I thought I had gophers. Sigh.... He'll be back next Monday. I opened up the smoker and took out and unwrapped all the "stuff". It waits until someone can lift it and I can put the wheels on it. Watered. Cleaned out a closet upstairs and have a box of clothes for the Goodwill.

Ok, this has got to be the ugliest ever....

Not long ago I received an email bad-mouthing Olive Garden for not permitting a civic group from bringing an American Flag into their restaurant. I, as were a lot of people, outraged. I wrote a letter to corporate Olive Garden and received the following:

Dear Sue:
We are very sorry for any misunderstanding about this issue. We do not have a policy at Olive Garden concerning bringing the American flag into our restaurants. Some members of our team were misinformed about company policy by our corporate office. As a company we take responsibility for that and we regret it. We take pride in how we communicate to our restaurants and we are correcting this so it doesn't happen again. Like all Americans we have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for the American flag and everything it symbolizes. In fact, we periodically provide American flag collar pins to our employees to wear while serving guests. We welcome anyone who wishes to bring the flag into our restaurants.

Sincerely,

John Caron
President, Olive Garden

Maggs and I took a ride to the gate to close it and take trash out. Saw this contrail .... they fascinate me ... looked like a rocket...

Dinner started with, "Oh look, there is shrimp in the freezer!"

Ok, so then I thawed the shrimp and some scallops. Then in boiling water, after peeling the shrimp, I added Old Bay Garlic & Herb and some smoky paperika and dried onions. Boiled for 4 minutes, drained.

I sauteed the scallops in hot hot oil, set aside and made the Udon Noodles (I found these in the area where packaged lettuce and spinach are kept refrigerated), according to pkg instructions. I then added in the shrimp and scallops and some diced tomato and peas. If you don't like peas (Jeannie!) you could use broccoli or celery or bell peppers. This was GREAT!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Wednesday. Ciao

Dinner looked delicious. Definitely omit peas, but think I would use the broccoli! Thanks for the recipe you creative cook! Also, thanks for making me "gag" first thing in the morn with the NUDE pants. OMG! LOL xoxo Jeannie

I think the broccoli would be good, especially with the Udon Noodles. Very Asian ..... Glad you only 'gagged' and didn't spit up in your mouth a little! LOL Funny girl. See you soon!

Sue,

I couldn't believe that photo of the nude stretch pants! Do you think it was for real? I cannot imagine Lowe's permitting a cashier to look like that! What do you think? Yuck!!

Dinner looked fabulous. I love most everything Asian!

Today is also my Eric's 39th birthday! I sent him a creative card that I made with lots of trains on it and enclosed a check. Then this morning I sent him two e cards. Hope he gets to celebrate with his Amtrak friends this evening!

Hugs, Trisha
