I spent the day doing chores. I had a bunch of plants still on the porch and after freezing temps the night before I decided I needed to bring the rest of them in. After they were inside I heard this LOUD croaking.... Mr. Frog was in one of the plants. Found him! Yeah. Took him outside to another planter.
I made a "chocolate" snack combo.....
using Chex, pretzels, candy corn, dark and white chocolate bites, and English toffee bits....
Melted 8 squares of baking chocolate and poured it into the bowl with the above and stirred it well. Then dumped it out onto foil and spread it out to cool and harden...
Then broke it up into bite sized pieces...

Claire and her girls, Lizzie and Becky, stopped by. They picked up some cooking magazines. The girls both got a kick out of my new vibration exerciser. Lots of laughter and shrieks. They also LOVED the chocolate/chex/pretzel mixture!

I also made some beer bread from a mix Debbie gave me, I think on Easter....
Add a can/bottle of beer to mix, stir, bake....... so easy.

....from my friend Mr. Helbing.... A new word:
Ineptocracy (in-ept-o-cra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Today is a friend's birthday... Mr. Kio Ebrahimzadeh! Happy Birthday kiddo! Many many more. Amazing, you were born on the Shah's birthday! I'm sure that made your grandfather happy!!! xo

And... today is also my nephew Jim and his beauteous wife, Melinda's 20th Anniversary! Wow, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY kids!!! xo

Historically this date...
1936 – The first electric generator at Hoover Dam goes into full operation.

1940 – The P-51 Mustang makes its maiden flight.

1984 – "Baby Fae" receives a heart transplant from a baboon.

2003 – The Cedar Fire, the second-largest fire in California history, kills 15 people, consumes 250,000 acres (1,000 km2), and destroys 2,200 homes around San Diego.

And births this date include....
1914Jackie Coogan, American actor (d. 1984)

Married to Betty Grable at one time.

... I like saying his name!

1916 – Boyd Wagner, First USAAF fighter ace of World War II (d. 1942)

1942Bob Hoskins, British actor

... to quote a friend, I think I just threw up a little in my mouth! Such a phoney. So full of herself. Stayed with that cheating baboon of a husband, why? Ambition! Also a tempermental beeotch... a friend of Jerry's worked for the Secret Service and said when first in the White House she and Clintoon both acted like they were at Disneyland. When the SS guy told here something she wanted to do was not "protocol" she threw a heavy crystal ashtray at him. He subsequently told his boss that he would not lay down his life for her and to reassign him!

1947 – Jaclyn Smith, American actress

1961Dylan McDermott, American actor

1967Keith Urban, New Zealand singer

Dinner was pasta. OH YES! Well, yesterday was Pasta Day..
Tortellini, some awesome pasta sauce, canned sliced mushrooms, black olives, green/yellow/red peppers from Jeannie and Bill, canned oysters (you can use anything else... chicken, beef, salmon, tuna...or no meat/fish!), and fresh baby spinach.

Sauté mushrooms/olives/oysters and then add in sauce...

Cook pasta...
Mix in the peppers and spinach and just keep warm...

Heaven!

All I know. Happy Wednesday. Ciao

The Shah of Iran and his gorgeous wife were loved by my friend Roya and her family and most Iranians. He wasn't perfect but he was our allay! It was Jimmy Carter who was at fault for the Shah's downfall in the end. They detest that man! They are good "R"s too.

As for Hil liar y I have heard that ash tray story many times and I am glad that SS man asked to be reassigned. I would never put my life on the line for that beeeotch nor her old man! In fact when the shooting started I would grab her as a shield! lol

Also our friend Loren, Kevin's godfather lost his home in the Cedar fire. It was a custom home in the San Diego Estates in Ramona. It was so sad because we spent many wonderful times out there in his home when the boys were little. He has since rebuilt. E, L, J, he was at Kevin's wedding.

Hugs, Trisha

I've always thought Jaclyn Smith to be the quintensential (sp?) American Beauty. Elegant, soft spoken.

Dylan McDermott- God bless the angel who gave him such beautiful eyes.

Keith Urban- The consummate performer. One of the best. Ever.

Happy birthday to Mrs. Clinton. While her infamous temper (and her politics) makes he thankful to never have temptation or opportunity to work for her, she was still my First Lady. As such, it would be my duty as an American at the time her husband served, to have unofficially jumped infront of any bullet had such idiody arisen. Which we should all be glad never did.

I agree with what you said except for BullsHillary. She was not "my" First Lady, nor was her husband "my" President, as the current idiots in the White House are not "my" anything either. Come on L. You been smokin' your socks????? LOL
