Maggie ~ Fire on the mountain top ~ National Cat Day

Good 47º morning. Sheesh....it's 20 degrees warmer than it's been this time of the morning!

And the answer to my question yesterday, the Deputy that Jerry nicknamed 'Dwarf of Doom' was (Thanks Voors and The Gov!) Frank Schirabba. Also, he was called Scab-a-rabba.

Finally an update on Maggie .... Doc said the tests showed a granulation of tissue with inflammation. There is no fungal infection. (YEAH!!!) Not sure if the growth behind the granulation is an active tumor or not and the only way to tell for sure is to have an MRI.... that is only given at UC Davis (near Sacramento). I told him I will not put Maggie through any more procedures for now as she seems quite content and happy. She shows no signs of pain. With the Claritin she takes daily, she is breathing fine. No signs of stress. She is almost 13 and I think age has a lot to do with what a dog has to go through. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. xo

Yesterday Jason came up and blew the leaves off my road.... at the same time there was a fire up on the mountain top. I called the FD and was told it was a "controlled burn of 59 acres".

The above was at 11:45... the next at 1:30 and then at 5:30pm ......

This one was just taken at 7:45am...

This from my friend Morene.... Good grief!!!

Sue,
I am addicted to chips! Any kind as long as they are salty/crunchy!:) Love kettle jalapenos the best!
So glad Maggie is doing better. I don't blame you for not wanting to put her thru more tests when she seems fine now. Hugs to her.

Boy that fire even tho "controlled" is scary. I have had my fill of fires! Don't know which sacres me the most, fires or earthquakes!

Love Connie and Mary Mack! :)

Harley always looks as tho he hasn't a care in the world. Such a cute photo.
