Lion Cub Video ~ "My" Lion

Good 55º gloomy cloudy morning.

You have got to see this video... lion cubs giving hugs. OMG! Thanks Spencer (retired LACoFire and former high school pal)  and Tally Huntoon !!!!!

So.... went back to the fairgrounds. If I had wanted to park in the lot it would have cost me $4 again, but the gate guy let me park just outside the gate, and as it was, a closer walk to the entrance! Then, at the entrance I showed them all my receipts (fair entrance and picture receipt) and they let me go on it. Curtis was happy to see me pick up the picture. He had his laptop and I directed him to my blog with his picture. He laughed and said it was his twin, because he's much thinner! Curtis! Also, my friend Felicity was there again and we chatted along with Sandy Schmidt. Hadn't seen her in a while. Here is "my lion"....

The detail in the embroidery is amazing!

and....... my little lion!

I am soooo happy with this picture!

On my way home I stopped at 7 Oaks Farm. On their FB page it said "melons... buy 3 get 1 free", so I did. They are cantaloupes and soooooo good!!! Also got zucchini and yellow squash, leeks, red potatoes... will cook up something. Their first corn will be ready on the 25th.

And a stop at the Post Office to retrieve a package... The 'General' sent me a full size box of their new cereal. Very tasty!!!!

What a beautiful day is was to be out driving....

... and for those of you passing through this area... look for my name on the road by Rogue River exit 48!

Lunch was pasta noodles parmesan with broccoli...

The little deers were out munching on the deer block and the pear tree....

Our 'big boy' is getting a nice rack!
(Sorry fuzzy, low light and behind a double paned window)
Then the younger buck and a doe were back later....

Harley went out on the porch and was laying under a table... I thought it was a cute picture...

Last night the sky was beautiful....

About 10 years. I used to go clean up the side of the road all the time, then my back got bad. I'm sure it was a sight... black Escalade parked on the side of I-5, old white broad in a reflective vest, picking up trash. I bet people thought I was doing "community service" ! LOL

Sue,

Yes, when John and Rich were up there on that highway they were shocked to see your name on that sign. Cooool!
That Danny Glover is an Adam Henry big time! Have you heard some of the ugly things he has had to say politically? He's an activist and a nasty one!
Love the pic of Harley. Hope you post it on PWL. Loved your video with Maggie. Cute cute.
One of my shows is Rules of Engagement and David Spade is one of the stars. A very annoying little jerk! The part he plays suits him. Obnoxious!

Truly amazing stitchery. Thank you for taking the.t time to capture the artistry.

David Spade told the funniest story about hiring a contractor to work on his home. David, wanting to speed up the work, took the contractor's car to the carwash. When the contractor asked where his car was

David said, don't worry. When you get it back, it will look terrific...worth the wait.

Oh, I remember growing up I wanted to be Mrs. Bobby Sherman. ha. Love him still. And look...he's in law enforcement. sigh.... I saw him once at the Revlon Walk and took a picture with him. I spotted him from a mile away.

Hi Sue,

Gotta LOVE those Lion Cubs,.... AND your embroidered masterpiece!

Way cool about your name on the highway sign! I've always wondered about those. What does it cost to "Adopt" a portion of highway? Is it just an annual fee or do you need to personally commit to some kind of regular clean up effort?

No, you just volunteer. I haven't done it in quite awhile, so if someone else wants that portion of the roadway then they will take my sign down. Until then, it stays.
