Deer Babies ~ Friends ~ Elk !

Good 41º sunny, somewhat cloudy, morning.
Aaron and Marie arrived at 1:15 this morning! Yawn... They showered and went to bed. Don't think they will be up for a while!

Sad note, Peter Faulk, Colombo, died Thursday night. He was 83.
He had been suffering from Alzheimers for a number of years.

Yes, the deer found the deer lick...

And these two little darlin's were doing the sister love thing....

You may have heard that Glenn Campbell has been diagnosed with Alzheimers about 6 months ago. Here is another star I used to love until his drunken antics turned me off.

Drunk and involved in a hit-and-run, left the scene and when police found him at home he kicked one of the officers. He didn't go to jail, however (Grrrrrrrrr) but was given community service! He KICKED a police officer!!!!! That judge needs a few lessons behind the barn!

My friends Chickee and Norm (retired LASD)  got here noon-ish at the Rogue River Rest Area. I picked them up and gave them the nickel tour of Rogue River, our town, the PD, Wimer Bridge, my shack, and down to Dave & PJ's to see Dave's new fish house.....

They were only here 2 hours and they NEED to come back and stay longer so we can have a par-tay!!!

In the evening the critters came out. I sat on the porch with a glass of wine, country music blaring from the radio, and enjoying the scenery....

I love Harley's little face...

Then I looked up in the pasture and there were two elk! Boy, don't usually see them unless it is winter and snow in the high country....

These two cows were just munching away on the grass....
Later there were 2 more and they all were laying down in the grass. Too dark for a picture!

LOL Sue,
Yes, there is chocolate on the NS diet. In my dessert collection there is so much chocolate. The little individual chocolates then there are those terribly sweet lunch bars! UG! Too sweet for me so I gave a bag full to JJ and Lisa.
Oh the sister deer were just adorable! You are so lucky to get the wild kingdom right in your back pasture!
How nice that your friends were able to stop for a visit and a tour. Where did he work at LASD? ELA?
Darling pic of Harley!
I am always amazed at the events going on around you up there. Always something fun to do!

Hugs, Trisha

Yes, there is chocolate, you are right T, but it's not the kind I love. Chickee and Norm both worked around the county, I know Lakewood for one....

Sue,
I just showed John your blog. Yes, he knows Chickee and Norm. They met at the Texas reunion luncheon. John sat and talked with them. He says they constantly drive all over the country in their motor home attending every retiree reunion there is! lol He said they write articles about them and where they have been for the Star News.
I said how fun! They are certainly enjoying retirement! I have always wondered how folks like that who travel all the time get their bills. Where do they pick them up? Maybe they are home once a month, where ever that is.

XO Trisha

Don't know about their mail. They are not home often. Yes, they write the article I submit my So.Oregon LE/Fire luncheon article to.
