Cliff's Back ~ A Book About Women ~ Polish Noodles

Good 37º morning. Ice on the barn roof. Burrrrrrr.... No skunk last night to break the crisp air, but the air coming in the slider was COLD! Even Maggie got on the bed next to me and snuggled! Harley slept in my chair with the down comforter! It's the middle of June and I have the heater on!!!

Cliff is going to have some back surgery today. Should be home tonight. They are going to shave a bump off his back that is pressing on nerves. Prayers go with him today.

I think it's fabulous that someone has finally written a book for men on "how to understand women" ! I have a copy here if any of you guys are interested in a good long read....

Had visits from the buck and the does yesterday. (I have moved the pressure washer from in front of the slider so I can get better pictures!)

My neighbor has cut and is bailing his grass....

My basil seeds have sprouted....

..... and it looks like Mr. Bear has been back. He just bent the feeder holder and didn't take the feeder this time!
 Grrrrrr....

The eaglets are ready to fledge. #3 is there, but out of view of the camera. Their feathers have changed.

Not much exciting happened. Did laundry. Five loads. Was going to spray weeds, but the winds blew all day. Took a ride in the golf cart to the mailbox. Stopped and saw PJ and Dave briefly. Back home to sit on the porch, but too breezy. Had dinner. Yawn.....

Ok, here's a quick and tasty recipe for a side dish.

Polish Noodles

Sauté small onion in butter. (or oil..but not as good)
Add 4 cups shredded cabbage. Sauté.
(Don't sauté until soft, keep them a little crunchy and green.)
Add 8oz pkg cooked egg noodles.
Add 1 T. Caraway seed.
Salt .. Pepper
Mix with 2 dollops of sour cream. Heat through.
Enjoy.

Historically this date....
The only thing of historical significance is the 1972 marriage of Jim Harper (Wilson S'63) and Sally. Happy Anniversary kids!!!

And births this date include.....
1829Geronimo, Apache leader (d. 1909)

1890Stan Laurel, British actor and comedian (d. 1965)

1907Jack Albertson, American actor (d. 1981)

1943Joan Van Ark, American actress

Shame she had that plastic work done, she was a beauty before!

All I know. Nuff said. Ciao.
